Also, just so you idiots know, the {$DEFINE} shit is in almost every tutorial there is. The break shit is done by _Echo, which he made for ANYONE to use. A lot of it is from YoHoJo's tutorials, at least he's trying to learn.

Everyone copies and pastes from tutorials when they start to script, grow the fuck up.

Tbh, I copied and pasted that exact function from that exact tutorial in my first script. I have never manually typed in the define smart and srl stuff nor have i ever manually typed in the DeclarePlayers procedure, all have been copied and pasted.

Do you honestly enjoy doing that? You actually get satisfaction from that? I haven't written a Script intro, Player info, or Main Loop from scratch in years. I copied a script base and have been using that ever since.

What's so wrong with that? Don't lie and say you never copied pieces from scripts or tutorials.

P.S. I'm talking about your attitude in general, it's taken a turn downhill recently.

Kyle has a huge point. I ALWAYS copy my template, If I can't find it on my computer I take a template from as example Kyle's scripts.

Most of those guys who bullied.. I don't wan't to say what I wan't.

I'm with Abu… I've never typed out the smart definition or any TPA's. And to be brutally honest…

I used the same TPA as Abu did in my Hill giant script.
I couldn't tell you the first thing about a TPA other than its a swirly color finder.
And to make things worse…. I applied with it to SRL members and got in :whistling:
I just use FindObj now because I can actually understand what it's doing and can use colors and uptext that would be useful rather than dickin around ACA for a half hour to find 1 color to define an entire object.

Give Troll some slack… he desperately wants to be an SRL member and with his determination hell probably make it…

I dont get it a few nights back he tears the hell out of me saying nasty stuff i do the same back and its the end of the world and we are all douche bags who were involved. it wasnt just the intro it was everything, he was writing stuff he didn't understand… but calling himself a scripter and then saying he didnt copy paste so it was a blatent lie.

A variable with as type a 32bit signed integer, holds a number between -2^31 to 2^31 -1. Your question about what is an integer wasn't fair since you might not know it either. He answered it right imo.

I read through 50% of it and didn't found anything he did wrong. Please state the few points where you can prove he stole something. Also next time, it might be a smarter move if you find traces of plagiarism to report it to the staff in a nice and clear report.

I am not from the staff, and I will not pretend I am from the staff. But please don't start attacking each other. Only SSRL + can give warnings and correction. You can judge this action but not the person doing it. Don't attack xtraps, shay or xxtrolxx without reason. Can somebody post some real evidence here of script stealing or is it just 'baked air' as we like to call it in the Netherlands.

I created this thread to further solidify the fact that he plaguerized the script.

It's in the members section. He can't see it at least but I think you guys treated him bad. Lucky it's not public at least. Someone delete it -_-.

Besides not like he stole any of your scripts anyway.. It's a one time thing and meh I see him trying at least. In fact I myself save a default.simba file so everytime I open Simba, there's going to be a nice setup. I think everyone does this so even if he doesn't understand the code YET doesn't mean he stole it.

Not like he applied to members with the code in question. I'm too lazy to even read the first line. It's pastebin.

P.S. I'm assuming it's the runespan script. I wouldn't even consider such a thing a copy paste :S

Well, I scrolled through the pastebin. He copied stuff from a cow fighter script for a runespan script?

What good did you think would come from a thread like this? This just shows people being an asshole to one person. If you don't like someone, you can block them on Skype. I'm adding him back when I get home.

My thought on this, first of all I have no clue wat this is about., lol. Second of all this is hilarious to see everyone argue, thou then again I have no clue wat this is about. I just read most of the posts here. As far as I'm concerned I see absolutely nothing wrong in copy and pasting.I do it almost always ,thou I do know wot it does and i always credit and sometimes even get permission. Keep arguing this is rather entertaining.

As every one else has mentioned, I copy my template every time. Why be so rude to the kid? Its not like you were just born with all the know hows of scripting. Everyone has to start somewhere, and at least he is trying to learn and not just leech like the other 14 yr olds.

I think you'd be suprised how many people learned to script through using bits and pieces of public scripts. Give the troll a break.

You guys call yourselves SRL members and yet you behave like this.. Clearly none of you remember what it was like when Kaitnieks.com closed and the entire SCAR (now Simba) community fragmented or you'd all appreciate SRL Forums a little more.

When I joined this forum I was one among about 100 of the most elite devs. I was a total noob then, and in some respects I still am. However, they all did one thing very well; my skill set of nothing but a desire to learn was welcomed and as a result I felt as if I was part of a family. Hopefully for some of you this place feels the same as it did years ago - a home online.

I haven't read page two of this thread yet but it's clear that the newest members don't share with each other that same level of respect that I as a new SRL member appreciated so much. Have some respect guys, for yourselves and everyone you're working with. Review the SRL mission statement and decide how you can best make your own contributions. Not everyone has to script to be helpful but do at least try to be friendly and respect one another because if you don't manage to keep that we'll lose everything that makes us SRL. There are other forums that have talented scriptwriters and programmers, but I've never found another where everyone is as respectful and intellectual as here at SRL.

I am… he PM's me for help sometimes.
And he is getting better. He does want to become a better scripter and he is sorry for the plageurism. He's turning over a new leaf and we should all respect that. NVM the whole brony thing, he's a nice guy. Everyone should be showing everyone respect.
The SRL member title only means not only means you can script, it means that you are a good addition to the community. Some members are not being such good members of the community. We are supposed to be downtalking the registered users because they HAVE messed up. We should be helping them to become better.
I am proud of helping the odd person regardless of status.
