Should I even start simple scripting on runescape, or wait for this big social slayer update to blow over?

Would it be more updating than actually just waiting until Jagex is done screwing with the game?

hmm… depends how patient you are. If you want to get right to scripting, make some scripts that will work while everything is messed up, like my generic alcher in my sig. Then once everythings fixed, you can alter your scripts to make them work properly, or start fresh. Your choice in the end though. What kind of script are you looking to make?

Imho you should try making a non-smart script and see if you can get that to work using only the functions that are available to you (many of the srl functions will not working without tweaking at the moment as the winds picker has it had an update pushed that tweaks it for the navigation bar). It forces you to think outside the box a it, then again the script will be useless after the new srl update comes out so it would only provide a bit of scripting experience for the time being :)
