I wrote this and it should work for everyone on DirectX mode.

Just log into RS, set your settings to Direct X mode and use the settings below. Go to Varrock East Bank and face Camera South with Angle at its Highest. Must run this throught the browser since SMART cannot change modes anymore.


Again, its not too complex, it only opens the bank and closes it right after but I wrote this in 2-5 minutes and with basic scripting knowledge. With ChooseOption working, my scripts would be as effective running in DirectX as they were in Safe Mode. DirectX is still just as bottable thanks to DTMs so this could be a possible solution in the event Ben doesn't get OGL working right and Safe Mode ends up dying/removed. SRL would have to be rewritten but only the most important functions would need to be updated at first, the rest could be slowly updated at a later time. This would however require your Mouse and the RS Browser window to be maximized, so this kind of botting would need to be through Virtual Machines if the user still wishes to use their computers.

DirectX botting the future? We cannot really tell at this time but it is surely possible and still just as viable as Safe Mode ever was.

Edit:

Shame the mouse is invisible due to Camtasia but you can try it out by yourself if you want. The current method works roughly 50% of the time due to the pixel shift on the text. Working ChooseOption should fix this as would a better made DTM of the text. Also the part that is { } out should work 100% of the time, switch the function to find out. Second uses the chat interphase.

And why all the high etc. settings? Can't we be all low like we were before, and just change colors/cords/etc and just do it like we have been in Safe Mode?

Anyways, good work :] nice to see people getting ahead and thinking of new ways/methods around things!

Its Simba Botting on DirectX mode, I don't see what is wrong with the title. When I first made the script, those were my settings, ofc ideally they should be all to lowest possible for this mode but its getting there. I am talking about true Color DirectX botting, no hacks or things like in the above thread.

So if I understand this correctly, this finds a DTM of a banker, right-clicks, and blindly moves the mouse down 46 pixels to, assuming it's the correct option for "Bank"? Then later on finding a DTM of the Close-Window button, yes?

Why not, the commented out version opens the bank through talking with the banker. The previous version would look at the Text and find the right text option but since they never change, the 2nd option to open the bank will always be at that location regardless of where you click. As I said, if I had a working ChooseOption/OCR, I wouldnt need to guess and everything else including item and sprite finding could be done entirely with DTMs.
