I would like to start scripting but as soon as i joined these damn forums that damn social slayer update came out and screwed up the smart and bar placement and what not.. How do we start again, as you've just said it would be pointless to start scripting due the fact that EVERYTHING is not fixed…?

is this being pushed as an SRL update?

I haven't loaded Simba for RS purposes in about a month. If I've worked on scripts then it's been blindly with no testing. I've been busy lately working on some mouse improvements.

Check out there tutorial island section, 100s of free helpful tutorials.
There is also the scripting help section, where you can post code and get free help!

Hey Yohojo, I checked out your video tutorial a couple days before smart was broken and can't wait for the new update to learn more about scripting. Thanks for the motivation.

Actually QAZ, (oh yes, I know that's you, the one who's an asshole of a kid), it's a valid suggestion. I'm quite down for it.

I actually couldn't be bothered waiting for the unofficial fix to come up on that thread so shortly after the patch came out I simply loaded up the normal rs browser on my other computer and put together some temporary scripts (that don't use any of the srl functions that were broken in the patch, simply uses colours, dtms and co-ords for things like npc chat) for the skills that I wanted to bot.

It would suck to be all those who aren't able to get themselves back up and running because they don't know how to read before whinging and saying that people who don't get paid for this should work harder for those to lazy to learn.

But I don't think a single jimmie has been rustled as a result of this thread, it should have been in the help section with a title "Fix for SRL and SMART" so that some leechers might actually find it.
