Sorry if this has been posted before but I'd like you all to discuss what effects this is going to have on runescape. To be honest, if these keep coming out, soon the econemy will crash badly and legitimate players are either, A: Screwed for funds or B: Going to resort to botting. These are just my views/ideas, it could play out in a different way.

I think it'll eventually kill botting

Jagex is either gonna have to make a custom java applet, which owuld take a ton of work, or they'll have to switch to a downloadable client (which would kill scar, ibot, possibly arga)

:p I vote we donate a bomb to jagex so they can send it over and rid us of this guy

I personally vote a russian spy, probably cheaper plus this way we can get him to steal the bot! *snaps out of daydream* I liked the idea Jagex would have to buy the rights to RSDemon and then destroy it, I'd love for this bot to go and the creator leave with a large sum of money :P

I think its going to kill botting and RS as it is. The bots from that are going to gradually start becoming more numerous and legit players will get fed up of competing with botters. So they are going to quit. Jagex needs to drop the bomb and create the custom java applet or botting on RSDemon is going to take RS over.

I agree with you guys that RSDemon are making a terrible mistake here, they should take this as a small victory and quit whilst they are ahead. They are getting too money hungry now and they are basically forcing Jagex to take action against the bot.

ARgh… Would it not still be possible to run scar on a downloadable client?

If they made it a downloadable client then surely they could add a hacking prevention system, scar wouldn't be able to do anything unless there was a bypass which are reasonably hard to come by unless you are someone in the "hacking" world.

Im going to buy a key for the woodcutter and try it out, and jesus, 3000 keys at $2, $6000 a week out of runescape. Hang on, 52 weeks a year x6000, that would be he is earning $312,000 dollars a year. Shit.

I don't think it's automated, you have to send money to them via paypal. If it was automated, they would have a shopping cart system in place which would automate it all. He is possibly using very cheap chinese labour to process orders.

Im ordering a key and creating a "Journal" type thread of the order process and the whole running process so eveyrone will get a better idea of how it works. I'll probably start today.

Who are you talking about? I bought a pin to see what I could learn from it but Ive hardly used it. I think all threads about it should be moved or closed and we just have one big one in the members section

Im hoping to start up a business, albeit a small business, and maximising profits is one of the top priorities when running a business. Time wasted is money lost.

Im just curious, how many yews will it cut before the char gets banned. Dont worry, im never goign to use rsdemon, im just curious because it must be around 2k yews if you expect to make a profit by using it. If anyone has used it, how many willows and yews were you left with.

Hopefully, all will be revealed in my "7 days with RSDemon" thread. I'll keep you updated through the week with the production levels and also any bans I occur. Hopefully somebody will be able to answer your question before me as Im also inclined to know.

Cool, ide love to see someone else use it and post its progress everyday because im curious how well it will work in those 7 days.

Nah, wasnt aimed at you, I ment the 1st time posters that come here, take scripts and leave would see a post about RSDemon, dl it, buy a pin and leech off that too, adding to the problem and not sharing anything about it.

Well, from what I see, this RS DEMON is something like business for the creator. This guy who created it is either crazy rich or friggin cheap. He earns like 2.4 USD or 600k RS money per key that is sold.

Btw, how much do you get if you pay 2.4 USD using it?

I think SCAR is much better and will not screw the game up.

If Jagex started silling mills at competive prices with the same payment methods as membership it would completly kill botting, but it would take the RS ecconomy down with it.

But a lot of people bot not to make real life cash, but in game cash.

Not alot, some. Those asain bots are not interested in RS gp at all, the boting and farming is thier job, take away thier customers or devalue thier money and theyll stop it
