I'm looking to learn some new skills and pick up the art of scripting. I've always wanted to learn but have never got around to it. I hope you select me so I can actually learn.

Well i'm here to learn, so take that for whatever it's worth. I'm trying to make an honest attempt at learning something new, all I've seen is constant flame.

No from me. Sorry being from RID means nothing to us, this is not a status rank but a community service rank; we help the community nothing more nothing less. SRL member is a rank that shows the user is able to script/help script or is a very positive help in the community; you will need to show more ability/helpfulness before being considered for SRL members.

For learning purposes I recommend starting with YoHoJo's video tutorials, informative and they will teach you what you need to know to create a basic/decent script.

Also one thing I really think is important is being community focused. Posting actively not only shows you genuinely care for the community it also helps your chances of getting accepted.

YoHoJo also has some phenomenal videos that will get you scripting just like Shay/Sin.

We are a teaching/learning/programing community before anything else.
We have tons of great tutorials, and everyone loves to help out with all questions asked/posted in the scripting help section.

Just take a chunk of time out of each day to read tutorials and code a bit, make threads in help section for any questions, and in no time you'll get there.

It's quite fun, and not too difficult!

YoHoJo is right. But Shay should always be referred to as Sin- his recent namechange is rather… unsuitable. :p

Get in the habit of using the more advanced procedures as fast as possible. Use TPAs where possible rather than using a FindObj- even use a DTM! All of these terms may sound kind of vague, but once you get the hang of scripting, you'll have no trouble.
My biggest word of advice: Read through other people's scripts when you don't know what to do- even read through other peoples scripts for ideas and pointers. That's how I got here.

No because there is no script and that is the only reason from me. I didn't vote no but I said it. Enough people already voted it anyway.

You don't have to be a member in order to learn ;) Just read some tutorials and you'll be on your way :)

No offence, but the fact that your username is 'Pendulum from Rid', makes me think you're not actually Pendulum from RiD…
