AIO Citadel (Brainstorming)

No, I'm not requesting anybody write an AIO citadel script. There's a few standing requests out already, and I'm not going to create a topic to add to them.

Instead, I'm going to be the crazy man who tries to make it happen, but I need the forum's help! There's a few huge problems standing in my way:

1) I'd like to start with one plot, then build off into others. Factoring in both complexity (the mine is much simpler than the loom) and that I'll be learning to properly use DTMs as I go, which plot would people like to see me work on first? A useful plot will (hopefully) net me more feedback, and that's something I'll need a ton of because…

2) Each tier of each plot looks different, and I only have access to the tier 6 of my own clan citadel. At the minimum, I'm going to need screenshots so I can build the relevant DTMs and allow the script to teleport to the right plot, move into position, and begin work.

3) This is a rather large project for only my second script, so I'd really like somebody with some experience to help me sort out the various 'stages' of development and breaking them down into sub-steps. Right now I'm thinking the following:

Stage Zero: Determine the resource plot levels. It'd be much easier to build this in as I go, rather than trying to implement it afterwards, so this comes even before designing the main script.

Stage One: Start in front of the relevant plot, and continue working it until capped. This will give basic functionality, but it has some severe limitations; for example, the only way to know when the script is done is when further attempts to work the resource don't cause any changes on-screen.

Stage Two/Three: I'm not sure which to add first between these two functions. One would allow the script to read both player resources and clan resources, and stop at predetermined totals. The second would enable the script to open the map, find the correct resource plot (hovering each symbol in turn, and reading the name that shows), teleport to it, and move into position.

Stage Four: Compound goals. For example, mine 500 ore, chop 500 wood, burn 500 charcoal, and smelt 500 bars one after another. This would also allow the use of the Summoning plot until it caps, then automatically moving to a second plot. Once the last two are in place, I don't see this as being too hard.

Stage Five: Obtaining the clan ring once earned and charging it at the chosen plot. Low priority since it's so easy to do manually, but it'd be a nice little addition.

tpa was good enough for me for firemaking, mining and wood cutting. I personally haven't played with other resources

EDIT:

I'd suggest you have the user select the activity they'd like to do rather than support every single layout.
So if a user picks mine, then load the mining portion of it. This will make your life much much easier :)

and don't forget uptext to double check :)

good luck with this project, it would be awesome if you can do this!

The reason I need to have everything is that each level of plot looks different; if I set DTMs for a level 7 plot, a guy starting out at a level 1 plot won't be able to do anything. I'm not planning to actually load any DTMs that aren't needed, to cut down on overhead.

Much of the code SHOULD be re-usable; every plot except Firemaking (and maybe Cooking, I've never used it) visibly changes as you use it, for example. All I have to do is make sure that the right image is set into the DTM and I should be able to write one procedure for half the plots.

I'm working on psudocode for the entire script now, since I'm capped for the week and wouldn't be able to test until Tuesday/Wednesday anyway.

Given the poll, I'm going to be working on Woodcutting first, then Mining. I'm trying to lay out the skeleton for future expansion, though, so wish me luck on this one!

Good luck with this :)
