really good opinions on the banning system.

well, what i mean about this system is, that a failed random, are exactly the same as a player report as a player report will cause player recording for a period of time and more randoms, then likewise will a failed random do the same.

Also.
player report = more randoms + player recording
and
failed Random = more Randoms + player record.

also, both player report and failed randoms will cause the exactly same obstacles such as more randoms and player records

Jagex uses these two methods, randoms and player reports to be 100% sure that, those who bots get banned, in one way or another.

in which way, can Jagex be that sure about Botters get banned?

well, think in that way.
as failed randoms and player reports brings the same causes. then jagex uses these two methods in that way:

1) randoms = an automatic solution, to ban botters
2) player reports = a manual solution, to ban botters.

but what do i mean by an automatic, and a manual solution?

an automatic solution, to ban botters
an automated solution to ban botters, is where the macro bot system (the randoms system) itself captures you, when you fail a random, which triggers a recording of what you are doing in the game in the last 30 sec or so. in some cases, then you fail a random, the system will increase the randoms, so that you'll get more randoms, than normal, so that the system ensure that you are botting.

a manual solution, to ban botters
the manual part, is when a player report you. (notice in this solution, the process does not begin with a random, which is automatic, but rather starts with a manual report from a random player.) when your reported, the system will in some cases, starts a recording that records, your player's movements, and acts. and in some cases, you will be recorded, and get more randoms, and when you fail a Random, it will starts a recording too.

you see that Jagex does not sit on a chair all day, and just walking around, and checks for botters. they have system, that will collect all the information, about what your doing, and when, all automatic, then a record will be send to jagex, then from there, they will reach a conclusion about banning your account.

but it isn't the bot system, that bans you, its rather Jagex. the bot systems, just collects the information of your account's behavior, then Jagex reach the conclusion. and in this case, there is two processes, which is either difficult or easy for Jagex to spot your account from Botting.

the two processes are as follows:

1) the long process (the difficult process) = randoms
2) the short process (the easy process) = player report

1) the long process (the difficult process) = randoms
after any ban should Jagex through a process to conclude that you bot. and I think that Jagex has to go through some lengthy points before they even can ban you.

before Jagex can ban you for botting, they must be through some points that lead to the final conclude, about your macroing. it mostly like a clue, that jagex have to complete, before they can ban you.

also the process is, as following (i think):

it all starts with a random. but a random does not come by itself, the (randoms) is a system, which contains simple and hidden rules, that needs to be broken, before you get a random. it can be xp/hour, etc. then, if your unlucky, and broke a hidden rule, you will most likely get a random. when you are in the random, you will even succeed or fail. if you succeed, you will be safe, but if you fail, then the system will triggers a recording of your player's movement, and most likely cause more randoms(the reason, of why the system triggers more randoms, if you fail. is because, Jagex want to ensure 100% that your botting. amongst these randoms you get, you will even succeed, or fail. if you fail, you will be recorded again. (i also believe that, when your player get recorded by the system, it doesn't record your player, when you fail a random, the system will record your player, from when you get into the random, till you finish. or that, there is a timer for when it triggers the record, that if you fail the random, all the recorded time of your player will be send to jagex. but i am not 100% sure) then after that, all the records will be send to jagex, which jagex staff checks to reach a conclusion about about, if you not or no.

why is it that difficult, when it looks so easy?

well. it looks like, it's easy, but it isn't. it is pretty difficult for jagex to detect, that you are a bot.

the reason of why, it is that difficult for jagex to detect you, is because, before the random emerge, you will need to break a hidden rule. for some, they will not get a random for ages, and for some they do. imagine, if you don't get a random for some reason, or we fully understood the random process, then the only thing that can harm botters, is the player reports. already for now, we know that, The more xp we made per hour, the more randoms will emerge. then imagine, if we fully understood the limits, for the xp/hour system, and lets say, we found out, that for every 50k xp/hour, you will get 1 random, and we made a script, that takes a break every 40k xp/hour xp earned? well, the only problem will be, the player reports. now, lets say, unfortunately we broke a hidden rule, and got a random, then the next step is, fail a random. it is also really difficult for jagex to detect you here, because nowadays, we got bots that can solve most of the randoms. the only way, that jagex can detect you,(in random) if you get stuck in a random while your bot is on, and the bot cannot solve the random, and will keep do weird movements all the time, lets say it will click on a barrel for 3 hours. but imagine, if we made a script, that will solve all randoms, or just solve the randoms it can solve, and logs out straight after, a random, which the bot cant solve?(notice, what i said before. it isn't the system that bans you, it is jagex. the system acts like a clue, when the system has passed all the steps, it will trigger a recording, that will be send to jagex.) and(that jagex cannot ban you, unless they have a strong proof, of you are a bot) then, if we made a script that solves 3 of the randoms, then it will logs out straight in the 4 random, then next run, it will solve 1 of the random, then logs out straight after the second random? then jagex cannot use this as a proof, because you can easily say, that you didn't have time to solve the random, and they will set a "?" because the script will logs out randomly, after a couple of randoms, and not all the time. now lets say, unfortunately you failed a couple of randoms, and the records are send to jagex. yet here, it is still difficult for jagex to detect you in botting, becuase jagex receive thousands of records Evey day, because of people, who fail a random every time, or those who find it funny to report all his friends suddenly, or those who have no life, and just walks around and reports people, just because they got abused, or for no reason. and we know, jagex are human beings, and do not look after all the records the whole day. so maybe, if your lucky, jagex will delete your record, and do not even open it.

2) the short process (the easy process) = player report

well, this is the easy process for jagex to detect you. but how?

when a player report's you, straight away, the system triggers a record, which records your player's acts. imagine that, while you bot, and a person pass, then he will see you, and clicks on the report button, and reports you. and you don't know, that the person just reported you, while you are botting. then a record of your player starts straight away, while you are botting, and catch you in botting. that would be really sad.

i hope that helped :)

Can we get a TL;DR? :D

Not so sure, see there have been many cases where a bot can get stuck in a random for 7+ hours clicking the same pixel (100% bot alert) and yet not be banned. I think randoms are just there to annoy botters, make it harder to bot, rather than act as a banning measure.

The reporting sounds about right in the sense that it triggers a potential flag BUT the amount of people that abuse it mean that they cannot possibly care about a single report or set of reports. There have been bots in the past reporting everyone who walks passed. These things happen.

tl;dr Randoms are there to annoy botters (making randoms numerous and random causing the solving of them a lot harder than normal scripting due to the limited potential) and reporting unless tons of reports, is more or less useless.

I agree with you. If there weren't randoms, so many scripts would run 24/7 it's unbelievable. Hell, in a way, they somewhat save the economy if you look at it that way, lol.

i agree that randoms are for annoying botters. but as i wrote before, jagex receive thousands of reports about botting, scamming, etc. so it isn't easy for them so spot every single bot, and in this case, it is luck, that those, who let their bots clicking on same pixel in 7 hours, dont get banned. imagine, you sit at home, and thousands of reports need to be read every day. of course you will throw half of them in the trash.

but thanks for the extra information. :)
