So i took a risk and knowingly was thieving monkey knife fighters for almost a month straight, got over 75m xp in that time. Now after the recent update over a few days ago, everytime i try and knock a monkey out it says i need to deal with the first monkey that was knocked out. I read that other people have the same problem but only a few.

The worse part is that ive seen people in there knocking out the monkies. My thought is that they stopped my profile from theiving that way anymore. Would that be possible, to ban a certain action of a profile?

I dont think thats possible. It may be a glitch of some sort but rest assured there is no way Jagex singled out your account in order to prevent you from doing what you do. It may be an update also I am unaware of. There are a lot of possibilities here.

That's an unfortunate bug, make sure you submit a bug report!

Maybe there was a hidden update or it was a bug, report it.

Also, if they wanted to punish you for botting, they would have done more than just kept you from training there. They would have rolled back your account or banned it (which they don't seem to really do anymore).

They screwed up hunting salamanders a couple weeks ago..net trapping was all screwed up and ruined the xp rates. But it was just a bug and was fixed the next week, my guess it's the same with this!

Well i hope the time line between when i reported it and this thread isnt all that close. But its just very odd how it doesnt happen to everyone just a few people…… that why the question came to being if jagex would stop me from doing that one skill. It would force me to do other less xp/hr things which in turn result in more time wasted and more money used on them.

IDK, im just probly being all paranoid.

I highly doubt that this is possible, if you think about it everyone playing runescape is running from their code there is no way, that they can do something for you while everyone is different. So its most likely a bug/glitch, occurring between a few of you? Have you looked on Rs forums to see if there are any identical problems?

Edit: were you thieving the monkeys when the update occurred?

I did see only a few posts about it which is why i was getting paranoid…. but it is most likely a glitch, "i hope". But the idea of it happening would certainly revolutionalize the way jagex slaps people on the wrists for cheating.

In your bug report make sure to specify that you were using a bot and that the glitch is reducing your xp hour. They'll fix it faster that way.

joking aside, seems like a bug to me. Just wait for it to be fixed or send a report if you care that much about the game.

Sent a bug report, but they are slow moving to fix it since the new bot nuke is coming soon….. guess no thieving for me for a few days. =(

Don't expect fast results. If this issue is only happening to a few people, Jagex isn't going to respond in a timely manned.
