Ok so I am buying a membership in the next week (sometime) and I was gonna use it on my main. Ive never been a member before so I was curious as to what I should do. Like what should I start with? I was thinking I would quest a bunch then work on skillling members stuff. Just looking for ideas and things on what I should do. I currently have 60m on the account with much more on other accounts if need be. I also have 80+ for all f2p skills (except pray and dung atm) if that helps. So yea I appreciate any feedback and look forward to the replies and being an RS member!!! :)

There is so much to do that to list it all is… well… just a very long list.

Do what you would like.
If you like skilling, do some fletching/herb/farm or whatever.
If you like combat, do some slayer.
If you like mini games, do them.
SO much to do.

In a week you can get 99 fletching and thats what i recommend but then again, play legit for 1-2 hours and do some quests..

Will you be a member again? If so, work on p2p skills as they are required to start most quests. After that questing shouldn't be a problem. :) All the best!

Wow I remember when I was so excited to get my membership haha, I was like 10? Well checking out the duel arena is fun :) Enjoy while it lasts haha, after all everything does get boring overtime…

Lol problem is I like the idea of slayer a lot and could make some money which is always good haha. Farming interests me as I know it also makes a lot of money. I am more into skilling then cb but this is where I am not sure what to do because as you said there is so much. I dont have a paypal or a card capable of purchasing continued members and I dont want my parents paying for it so I use a different way to pay for it involving me getting it for free. If I could buy it continuously it would be much different because I could get a lot done but sadly I do have a limit.
I will be a member again but potentially not for a while.

I'd look up some of the Key/Beneficial member quests.
Underground Pass, and the ones that get you boots of lightness.
I haven't been P2P or played rs legit in years though!

Yea I am researching stuff so I can maximize my time. I plan on doing some skilling to start (lvl 20-30 in mems skills) then starting up all the questing but hey Im open to suggestions.
Oh and I forgot to mention Yoho that I will most likely use your services in the later months for membership if I feel I would like it again.
F2p is boring at times but its alright when you get good at it. I mean I got to 96 smithing and Im loving it :)

You actually dont need to do a quest to get the boots of lightness. At anytime you just go into the Temple of Ikov and get them. :p

I remember when I first became member. I quickly ran north of falador to explore taverly, crossed the mountain, went to caterby, then ardougne, then all the way to castle war.

Then I played a ton of castle war games and got the old school blue and red armour (and sadly they changed them now and it looks lame).

I suggest just walking around at first. It's one of my best runescape memory. True feeling of exploration.
I really don't suggest skilling. To me skilling is like working. Not fun at all.

Got 99 in all skills anyway, thanks to SRL though lol.

I remember my first time being a Member. Was so ecstatic, and went straight to Taverly and just started exploring.

Exploring is probably a good idea since I will have no clue where the heck Im going or what I am doing lol. I will start with that and then go from there when I get the hang of things.

sigh for me its sad to see such a good purely ftp acount go mems :/ (80+ in all ftp skills done in ftp is quite an anchivement if u ask me) i'm quite far behind on my purely ftp main which has 60+ in everything but pray (which is 54)

It has some members skills up like fletch and farm from lamps back in the day. Its fletching lvl is 10 and farm is like 6 :)
So it technically isnt f2p only. Its fine cuz I have another account which is f2p only and he has 40+ in all skills including a 99 and a 90. Working on him every day :)

Nice work haha :) I remember my first days. Spent nearly all of them rotating between fishing guild and yews at cammy :)

Before I became mem, I was already botting yews south of fally and when I got mems, I had over 5k yews banked lol. I sold them all, bought a d hatchet and some red d'hide armour and went straight to wcing. That's how wcing took me 2 years from 1-99 :P.

Dude don't sweat getting mems. When you first start, my only advice will be to do the things you do in f2p except this time use mems items and mem methods this will help you branch out to other member skills.

Here are some facts:
  • Skills are not worth it if you are looking to profit off them
  • Members minigames are fun if you have high levels; Stealing creation: Magic + Thieve, Castle Wars: Combat stats, etc.
  • Never beg, and the best way to get advice is to stand near the ge (where people are just chilling, and to talk to them)
  • Don't spend your money unless you NEED it, trust me you don't need a fancy set of Torva or Bandos until you are REALLY involved with members till then settle with barrows which will be 100x stronger than your rune (Or it will at least feel that way :p)
  • Whip + DDS go a LONG way.
