CUT tree, than BURN instead of drop

hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could make a script that combines wc and fm.
I am not a script writer myself, but i think it is not that hard to do,
I mean if there are powerchoppers that drop the logs, than why not burn it instead of dropping it.

I think this would be a good way to train wc and fm at the same time.

Post what you think about it ;)

I think there are a few of these already created
but it is a great idea for those who want to train both

It would be extremely hard.

How do you know this?

It is not a particularly efficient skill, it would probably be easier/better to simply cut and bank and then burn the lot later.
I was under the impression that a couple of similar bots to these had already been released, perhaps they are not working.
My advice to you, if you are determined to use a script that doesn't exist and no one is working on, go the the beginners tutorial section and start to learn to create it yourself :)

Umm, ex:
If invfull then
WalkToACertainPoint(Sps_walk)
Do fire

Dude just combine any wcing script with a firemaking script and you got yourself a Chop N' Burn <–This name sounds familiar, you should perhaps look on the forum, I believe PuT made one.

You're not a script writer; you don't have to be to make this. You can take any WC script up, and replace the banking procedure with a firemaking procedure.

I don't know how firemaking works after bonfires. If you can just right click "light" and it makes a fire and automatically adds new fires, then just do something simple like

if InvCount=28 then
MouseItem(RandomRange(1,28),mouse_right);
WaitOption(Light, 1000);
Repeat
Antiban;
Wait(####) // put whatever appropriate... Just so you don't end up spamming antibans.
until(InvCount=0); //or 1 if you can't equip hatchet...

Do this if lighting will automatically use all your logs in a bonfire you make. IF NOT READ THE BELOW POSTS

(NOTE: I'm a complete beginner with scripting. That SHOULD work, might have a compiling error because of semicolons or something, I don't know. That code could be written much cleaner but I can't be bothered ATM, it's late and I'm bored browsing forums. Just showing you someone with very little knowledge could make something that works.)

Now, if you need to light a fire and THEN add log to bonfire (left click craft option) then you'd do the above, add a little wait after the wait option, then make use of the following functions:

Function OptionsAppeared: Boolean;
begin
Result := CountColorTolerance(InsertTextColorHere, MCX1, MCY1, MCX2, MCY2, 10) > 2000;
end;

Function GetDaText(var cx, cy: Integer; TextHere: String): Boolean;
begin
Result := FindText(cx, cy, TextHere, StatChars, MCX1, MCY1, MCX2, MCY2);
end;

InsertTextColorHere = whatever text color the "add to bonfire" text will be.

If StatChars doesn't work then find what font type it is. It should be StatChars. Look into simba folder and try different font styles if it doesn't work though.

I utilized these in my script, credits go to CephaXz who taught me them :p

GetDaText will find the text, while OptionsAppeared we will use to act as a failsafe.

You'd put the functions somewhere in the script, NOT in the same procedure. Make them separate functions. Literally you can copy and paste what I copy and pasted into a script.

Oh and make sure variables for x and y are added somewhere.

if InvCount=28 then
MouseItem(RandomRange(1,28),mouse_right);
WaitOption(Light, 1000);
Wait(2000); //something like that...
Repeat
AntiBan;
Wait(1000);
Until (OptionsAppeared);

if GetDaText(x, y, 'dd to') then
begin
Mouse(x, y, 5, 5, mouse_left);
repeat
Antiban;
Until(invcount=0) //or 1...

OR if you want to go even simpler, you can just make it use MouseBox and make the box around the option to add to bonfire. I just thought of this after I wrote all I did above, but didn't want to delete it.

I know this looks very confusing, especially if you have ZERO scripting knowledge whatsoever. And the fact that I've probably written some of it wrong. I basically wrote it for two reasons:

1) To give you a general idea of what you'd need to get the script to do. You'd need it to know after a full inventory, to do stuff with the log. If lighting the log automatically creates and adds to a bonfire, then you'd just need the script to right click and light. If it doesn't, you need the script to light a fire, then click on the log, then click on add to bonfire.

2) To let you know that there's no excuse for not knowing how to make a script like this work :p. Adding burning to any woodcutting script is a great way to learn scripting! You don't need much knowledge. I'd advise you to read up on some tutorials (Watch YoHoJo's videos, they're great to learn).

Find a woodcutting script you like and then PM me the link if you'd like some help. I can help you work in a FM procedure (I can write it with you if you'd like to learn, otherwise I'll just add it in myself). I can make you a very basic, but functioning, FM addition to a WC script (I can't script WCing; I hate the skill and don't want to go near it :p). I'd use MouseBox to help you learn. Text is pretty basic, though, and can be used to act as a failsafe.

I know this looks like a huge wall of text, and not having any knowledge of scripting makes it even more confusing, so:

TL;DR: Send me a PM if you'd like help to add FM to a WC script. Copy and paste the link into the PM and I'll see what I can do :p. There is a Chop and Burn (or was one last time I checked) script but if you'd like it in a different location then that's fine just get the script you'd like to use!
