Apparently, this "bot nuke" will take place in July. As for how effective it might be, I have no idea. But just in case, I have 40k lobs on one account and another 20,000 lobs on another account. Any of you stocking up? And how effective do you think this nuke should be?

We will figure out a way to bot again if there is another bot nuke coming.

If you have your booted resources, sell them after the nuke…

Stock up on Lobsters and Rune Armour

Once the combat update is out, sell them.

idk why I have my bots fish so many lobs. Right now, their 155 gp, but they should shoot up pretty nicely after the nuke. If lobs get to around 300 gp each, I should make 18m :D

Ahhh okay. Idk how the nuke works. Is it like a a mass ban of accounts that have been autoing, or do they just start banning people autoing during the nuke?

They make it so bots don't work. Like in the last one i believe they changed RS's Code or something so Injection bots would not longer work (correct me if i'm wrong.)

I made about 3b on the last bot nuke I had 500k chins bought from 280 gp each they rose to 2k each, had 400k grapes etc..

Unfortunately, my bank isn't very high right now because I have spent so much money on maxing. I should be able to buy about 100m worth of chins. I think that should be profitable.

guys gotta think about this a bit more, generally prices drop and rise due to demand and supply. because less people botting, things like raw materials, there is also a decrease in people useing those raw materials because they aren't botting too. In my opinion, things like lobsters are a bad investment because not as many people will be buying them after nuke, most people will try hunt chins, kill dragons, do things that bots overtook from before nuke, because they now have the opportunity to.

so, people will be skilling less, eg, fm/cook and will be collecting more, eg hides, dragon bones, chins

Is there evidence somewhere that it will be in july? I know it's generally accepted it is July but I haven't seen Jagex say it anywhere.

You have to take more into consideration. There will be no bots producing those resources at all with the fact that they'll go down if they aren't being gained along with the high demand which might go down due to some of the bots.

So…for those who are pros on buying stuff, before Bot nuke…What should I stock up?

just buy chins and dragon hides and bones?

Started collecting as soon as I heard the nuke was coming.

I didn't buy red chins, seeing as everyone's buying them they probably won't rise as hard. I've only invested in items which rose by more then 300% the previous nuke. Which are not that hard to find if you just look up items and check the graphs on rs wikia :)

Rocktails aren't being botted alot, so they wont rise in price alot. Maybe 15-20%

What can a F2P player stock up on? Its been a few months since I last played so I don't know what's selling for a lot right now.

I just keep my money :) I don't think it will be easy to sell a lot of much-botted items after the nuke, because everyone wants to sell them at the same time… So I don't think it will be working that good
Also a lot more people are investing into this nuke because the first nuke was a "succes", but I don't think this second nuke will be such a big one as the first one… Except when they start mass-banning, but I don't think that'll happen

You have to see it in the long term. Maybe the prices will not rise that much in the first month (I can even see chins dropping for a little while) but in the long run there will still be a demand for heavily botted items. So if you have patience you can make a lot of money, keep an eye out for any bots returning so you know when the mass botting is coming back :)

Would be strange for them to start mass banning, the number of players online after that last nuke was noticeably lower, mostly bots gone obviously but that's still income for jagex and since the new majority share holders of the game are all about profit I also dought they would mass ban again. But who knows, will be nice to see how it plans out.

Im sure if anything I said above is incorrect it will be pointed out lol :P

they usually break the reflection/inject bots, so the worlds are super deserted and after that you see the srl usually get fixed in a day or so.. and then we're good but other communities take weeks/months, so prices on stuff stays super high

i bought around 140k ranarrs last week for about 2.1k each. they seem to have been dropping ever since though, which is strange as you'd assume alot of people are buying them out right now.

oh well, fingers crossed.

merchanting without backup to support your reason is quite foolish, but doesn't mean it won't be profitable.


WHat people should be merchanting are the stuff that will be required when the new combat evolution comes out, like foods, pk supplies or other materials used frequently in ECB
