ECB = Evolution of Combat.

Colors will change a lot too, eh? HP bars, avg pixel shifts will need to be redone. Oh and also HPPercent will probably break as well.

All combat scripts will break, that's a given. However, it will not take long to get back up and running :)

Lol yea, but I love the fact that it would be very easy to fix (scripts to ECB)

No change besides velcoraptor black and white runescape would really affect us.

So it seems to me that not much of SRL will break at all, and combat scripts could be easily fixed. Good! I've got plans for my future scripts.

I don't think even if they changed the walking style to Keys only it would really not effect SRL Knowing us.

Not all of our combat scripts will be broken.
What about the scripts that involve colors and clicking? Only the scripts that have functions from the fighting include will have problems- but even then, how can attack change so much that inFight won't work? I'm pretty sure most of those are going to need a slight change after the update, but not a whole lot of difference unless you count dual wielding. This will wreck our inFight and will be kind of tough to recognize in a script as I remember the character attacking while the other character was because he was dual wielding. 2 Handed weapons are going to need a bit of change as well.

We can't say for sure until ECB actually comes out. I'm sure there will be many new different aspects of fighting what will need to be taken into account, such as the obviously-copied-from-LoL special abilities bar.

We have to think about new interfaces, combat styles, HP monitoring. I'm pretty sure 99% of colors will change with this update and (as Joe said) inFight will break. It will put a great dent on SRL's fighting capability, especially the more advanced scripts that include lots of features that are way over my head (Narcle's FastFighter).

Seems ironic that, as Joe said, the the more mundane fighting scripts that only involve colors and clicking will still work, but the high-tech stuff will break.

If they break Narcle's Fighter, I swear to god…

the same thing will happen that's happened after every other update.
We'll update accordingly, there will be 200+ unofficial fixes on this forum, then a few days later a commit and we're all happily back to botting.
We'll be the first macro tool back in the game, i assure you.

correction, we ALWAYS are.
it's just not always available publicly right away because a commit has to be made.
ppl develop their own fixes like 10-20 minutes after an update.

granted this will take slightly longer but there should also be scripts that aren't affected at all, like fletching or alching scripts.

Considering I am legitting combat, I won't have a problem with it, but I expect this community to bounce back so quickly. No one has mentioned use the beta servers to form a new gametab.simba and combat stuff since it was just come live into the game, Jagex is giving bot developers time to create new stuff so that botters aren't affect. amiright?

How is this a LoL Copy… because it has hotkeys? … DOTA was out before LoL… so if anything it's a DOTA copy… but WoW Had Hotkeys before then so its a WoW Copy… But WoW Is a copy of Diablo 1 if it's the hotkeys!

Us SRL Members could Fix everything an make our own Commit Update until it's officially done. All anyone would need to do is replace their SRL File and Overwrite everything + Turn of Automatic Updating.
We could have it updated 4 Hours Tops if we wanted to, Fixing all the fighting scripts will be the more annoying part and probably won't happen to quickly.

If I read it right, your just saying delete your fighting include until it gets fixed?
Why not just not activate the fighting include rather than deleting it?
I bet in the time that you delete the include it'll already be under maintenance.

But I forgot to say earlier in my post:
Jagex is probably reading the include and countering it with the new update to screw us. They most likely have access to our community- if not Members access. I think they are doing something to mess with our functionality.
No worries though, we have a lot of talent (understatement?) and cannot be crushed.

It looks like LoL and the special moves bar is exactly the same concept.

We have seen worse updates than this one, Devs will probably get us back up and ready in few days.

ECB won't be coming out for everyone, so we still have a bunch of time to bot.

He has a point, but i would expecta a lot more than just combat to break. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a mini bot nuke in a way. We could however for the beta do what we did a couple weeks ago with the changed banks. We could have a version of srl that works with the beta so we can be ready for the official launch and we could have the old in case we need it.

lol @ all the people saying the spec bar is a LoL copy. That concept has been out a biiiiiiit before LoL used it, and having the spec bar at the bottom of the screen isnt exactly LoL's idea either

I don't care about the influences . its just a good update for runescape :) It becomese more challenging to play ! :)

Magic scripts will also break. Can make most of them require that you set the spell to the toolbar prior to start up though.

I just hope not all the botters in the world come here to leech and stuff, ruins the community

Did you actually read anything I wrote? and it's not exactly the same concept. in LoL Theres 2 seperate bars for abilities and items.

Just suicide combat like I'm doing now :D It's gonna be a month or more for the first stable combat script.

Well this update is still come way off (1-3 months) and in all honesty it will actually make our bots more efficient in combat then previously (it actually tells you if you are in combat, you target's hp, it has new AoE abilities and scripts will be able to simply use cookie cutter rotations).

As much as some people hate the combat change (I'm not it's major fan, I play rs because it is unique) the game needs to progress and overall they did a pretty good job with ECB

I've never played WoW. Maybe I'm unable to make an accurate assumption/comparison then, sorry.

I think that it will not be affected much. I would rather see this at the top of the forums rather than the scam things that keep getting posted.
