Introduction

Welcome to my Form Creation Service! I've recently started creating forms and I have to say… I just love them! I feel that every script on this forum should have a form because not only is it easy for new users to fill out, it makes your scripts look better!

If you're interested but also wondering what it'll cost you? Well… absolutely nothing! This service is 100% free! :)

Created

As I stated, I have only just started but this form is in full working order and ready for use in my Dwarven Miner (once I update it of course):

How my Forms work

Before you even think about asking me to create a form, you have to understand how my forms work.

Basically, what I do is use the form as a replacement for the DeclarePlayers procedure, using DeclarePlayers as a backup in case the form doesn't load. So when the player presses 'Start', it does this:

Procedure ButtonClick(Sender: TObject); //executes when button clicked
Begin
HowManyPlayers := 1;
NumberOfPlayers(HowManyPlayers);
CurrentPlayer := 0;

with Players[0] do
begin
Name := ToStr(Form1_1.InTheUser.Text);
Pass := ToStr(Form1_1.InThePass.Text);
Pin := ToStr(Form1_1.InThePin.Text);
Strings[0] := ToStr(Form1_1.OreSelected.Text); //ore chosen
Strings[1] := ToStr(Form1_1.MethodChosen.Text); //bank or drop
Strings[2] := ToStr(Form1_1.PickSupport.Text); //pick support
Active := True;
end;

Form1_1.Form1_1.ModalResult:= mrOk;

End;

Hopefully you can understand what the above is doing. It is basically inserting the values from the form into the DeclarePlayers procedure.

However, we will also have a DeclarePlayers procedure as a backup if the user does not want to use the form. So the mainloop would look like this:

 if (USEFORM = True) then
begin
Form1_1_SafeInit;
if Form1_1_SafeShowModal then
WriteLn('Form loaded successfully');
FreeForm(Form1_1.Form1_1);
end else
DeclarePlayers;

What the above does is see if the constant UseForm is True. If it is, load the form, if it isn't, refer to the DeclarePlayers procedure in which the user should input his or her details manually.

When referring to a value entered entered into DeclarePlayers, you call it as you normally would: Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[x] because the values from the form has been saved to that variable. So it should look like this:
procedure MineOre;
begin
case lowercase(Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[0]) of // refer to the current player, not the form

'coal', 'oal': MineCoal;
'silver', 'ilver': MineSilver;
'mithril', 'ithril': MineMithril;
'iron', 'ron': MineIron;

end;
end;

To sum up, the form will be used as a replacement for DeclarePlayers and if you want to refer to any Strings or Integers within it, you call it as you normally would.

How to Request

To request a form, use this layout:

Layout: Create a basic layout in MS Paint or Photoshop

Banner: Make one or tell me the details on the banner

Labels: What labels; username, password etc...

LabelOptions: How they are used, simply enter info or dropdown options etc...

Other: Any specific details?

Example Request:

Layout:

Banner:
'Abu's DwarvenResource Miner'.
Colour : Dark Brown with orange sparkles

Labels:
Username:
Password:
Pin:
Ore:
Method:
Pick Support:

LabelOptions:
For Username, Password, Pin, simply enter the info

For Ore, Method, Pick Support, a dropdown menu with the following options:
Ore:
- Coal
- Mithril
- Silver
- Iron
Method:
- Bank
- Drop
Pick Support:
- Yes
- No

Other:
Could I have splotches of dark brown in the background
Also, could you make it so that the pin is limited to four characters and and the password shows with ****, that would be great :)

The thread says

SRL Junior Member

This is for users that have posted 100 posts or more and have been registered for at least 3 months. There is one benefit on being a Junior Member, and that is that when 300 posts and 6 months of being registered is reached, they are given access to the Black Market.

did it change or am i reading it wrong

:O you make functional forms for scripts? I guess ill request one if you arent too busy
Layout: The one in your example looks leat, I guess something like that, its up to you!
Banner: Footy's Fletcher
Labels: Username, password, pin, and then for script settings, it would need which bow, so a dropdown text thingy, and the user would pick the option for which bow they want. Also, one for how many bows to fletch. And the last one would be the row and column of the logs in the bank.

Label options: For which bow, click the footy fletcher link in my signature, then refer to the Integers[0] list.

Other: Not really, if you have any questions, just PM me!
