Would it be too difficult for a new scripter to attempt to create a POH Bone to Alter script? It seems relatively straight forward to me but I obviously don't know much about it seen as i've not scripted before. I will be using tutorial videos such as the ones YoHoJo made and uploaded to YouTube.

Edit: I would start the script off without Summoning support, and then if I feel confident I would build it up to include Summoning support at a later date.

I've never made an Altart script or used one.

But if you have a general idea about how you could do each process, then you're fine to go!

Do you mean bone burying at a poh alter? if so I don't imagine that would be too difficult, I think the hardest thing would be navigating the house to find the alter

I've tried to use a few that are available posted by others, but for some reason, whatever it may be, they refuse to work for me, so I figured if they don't work for me they probably won't be working for others so I may as well give it a go, and if I can make a good one (not that the others aren't good), release it for the community.

Yea, that's the bit - i'll edit the first post to make it more clear.

From what i've seen from the way other scripters have done it, they ask that the alter be placed simply either North, South, East or West of the entrance portal, which would reduce the difficulty of locating the alter I assume.

Did you post your problem on their thread and respond to the questions they asked you? With the exception of 1 person, the last 10 pages of problems on my thread were due to user error and required a simple fix (putting in the correct or recommended settings)

It's easy to make a personal POH script, it gets hard when you try to add more variability to it (different house types, different burner types, different altar locations, different teleports, different familiars, different bones/ashes to bury… etc etc)

I did, when I recieved a readable error log/ an error log at all. I read through the instructions on your script page many times trying to see where i'd gone wrong, however I couldn't find any, but that's off-topic.

I was intending on using quite basic settings, such as having the Alter in the North, with a Glory right next to it and maybe add various ring supports in after as you have done, Ashaman, and as also mentioned earlier not bother with Summoning support until I build up my confidence a bit seen as I can see it being quite complex what with renewing the familiars and using potions and so on.

If you post those pics and your settings like I asked I could see what is wrong.

But if you just want the simpler setup I would suggest reading through evlins/Johns script as it requires the same setup. I think there is also another one with that same setup too that you might want to read through as well. Reading through others scripts is a good place to start.
