What do you think jagex/players would do (if anything) if someone were to buy out all the party hats and then proceed to alch all of them publicly; publicly meaning advertising the event on forums so people know there is about to be no more party hats because of some rich troll.

I feel like Jagex would try to ban you for something stupid since destroying them wouldn't be against the rules.

What's the street price of hats these days? And how many do you think there are in the game? As you tried to buy them it would push the price up more and more…

They can ban you for anything they want, (They stated so when you created your account, it is in the TOS)

I would think they would try to reason with you but it is near impossible to get every hat so even hypothetically this situation could never happen.

Jagex hates that these rares have gone up so much in price. Thats why none of the other season events have been tradable.

The only thing with this fish mask being the "new rare" was so more people would buy spins at SoF or SoN to increase their profits. Duh.

They'd be happy if the rares were gone for good. This way people with shit loads of money would have to find other ways of storing money. Thats what rares are these days. Ways to go around the 2.1bil cash limit.

This question is interesting, because Jagex would definitely try to intervene in a situation like this (Imo). It'd be funny if you would be able to keep your rs handle a secret, or buy a few on a lower level account and advertise yourself as that account while gathering hundreds on a real, main account. Jagex would bust their balls to stop you, and when you'd go to stream the event, you'd be on a different account with many, many hats. LOL

The only problem is, they can just generate more whenever they want to. :/

Why would jagex want to interfere/ban the player? Existence of phats does not give jagex any direct revenue. High alching of all existing phats may even be a great news to jagex as it would then be an excellent opportunity for jagex to reintroduce these phats via the SOF! (and no one would complain how it'd bring major imbalance to the economy as there isn't any existing phats)

There are probably SOOOO many party hats on accounts that aren't played anymore and probably haven't been logged into in like 10 years. Kinda sucks lol, someone I know says he prob has 100 or something on an account but doesn't know any of the information to it, he says he just collected them for no real reason whenever they came out. Unbelievable.

If you sold all three masks on the ge you'd get around 300m. And santa is like 90m now. So you missed out on about 200m :p

What would be better is to keep them all and sell them at whatever price you wish as you are the only owner of them? of course you would have to wait until the max amount of coins is changed, or get a massive stockpile of junk trade.
