The crosshairs on ubuntu aren't working for picking a non RS client. they are only sensing the desktop picture and the actual boxes of simba. Does anyone know a way to select a client on an ubuntu VM?

There is no way. It seems to detect stuff that are running on Wine though.

On wine? I'm running it through wine… but how do I run it on wine?

Are you running the RS client through wine? If not, either download a windows version of a browser, install and run through wine(as above poster said) or get the downloadable RS client off their website and run that through wine.

Okay, I'll reiterate:

Wine windows can only select wine windows. You could try running the native Simba client for Linux and run Lape instead of pascal script.

It will allow you to select regular windows. :)
