SRL Archive - Banned from RS

Hey everybody.

Just started botting yesterday, using the MSI mining script for mining iron at East Varrock on my new members account. I've been taking frequent breaks, switching skills etc (like I've read to do), and baby-sitting the account. Today after leaving it alone for a couple minutes a guy came up and asked if I was botting, I was afk so I obviously didn't reply. I think it's pretty safe to assume that he reported me.

Because I'm kind of new to the results of a report, I was just looking for some confirmation on if I am going to be banned or not as I've seen posts saying yes and posts saying no. Also, after being reported so soon after starting to bot, should I be doing something that I didn't mention above, or is there an up-to-date list of ways to not get banned?

Doesn't mean he reported you and if he did you can't do anything about it now.
But to be honest unless your like the most unlucky person in the world you should be fine :)

Well, One report won't really hurt you :P But if I was you, I would play legit for a day or even a few days just to be safe :P Or you can try doing some quests and then going back to botting :)

Try to mine at ardouge. Varrock is a pretty bad spot for powermining hence a lot of legit people walk there.

Bah I've been reported billions of times at livid farm. Nothings ever happened except one time I got a 24 hour mute only because it was a pmod. You're golden ponyboy!

It's nothing to stress over. It's not against the rules to not talk, lol.

One report does relatively nothing, people false report all the time, so jagex couldn't care less. Unless you get multiple in one day/session, then nothing will happen.

Lol, once (long long time ago, still using sythe (some simba) ) Made a script, forgot to include anti-ban. No waits, random/range of colors etc lol. Ran it for around 4 hours, no ban.

Was for smithing, tons of people there too! Kept clicking the same pixels, and I am so proud!

People tend to take this so seriously, so what if you were reported? It happens, your life will not come to a stand still and you will most certainly not die!

Relax, it is a game and 99.9% of the time you will not get banned or anything, you must really piss some people off before you will get any infractions against you.

In any case, most bots are written with chat to ask Are You A Bot? And most times the only people to respond to that is noobs !!

Lol you kidding, I ran mouse macro scripts to drop my inventory in 2 game ticks before I discovered SRL. I got 85 WC that way,nothing happened. Some people were asking me how I get to cut all the time, and I just logged when I heard this kind of thing :P

You'll be fine, but try not to bot in such obvious areas.

i've had plenty people come up and ask me if i'm botting…


If they report you, there is still a very low chance that Jagex will actually do anything about it.

Jagex wont do anything, and if they do, it'll be a temporary ban.
Unless you're f2p, in which case you'll probably get permaband.

Often there are a lot of false reports… best bet just to continue switching it up a bit
