Long time no see guys :P

Been out and about with life. Have hardly been on a computer lately. Got a new project though and its turning into a real bitch.


A friend of mine suggested we build another friend of ours a website for his buisness. He already went out and purchased a domain/hosting plus a joomla template…Gives me the task to make it all work.

This Joomla stuff is absolute jibberish to me. Especially since this template doesn't seem to comply with the standards of the newest version.

Is anyone experienced with Joomla that'd be willing to help me out here?

I need to figure out where on earth this logo in the template is coming from. (it's not an image file anywhere and CSS holds no help either)

I also need help understanding how the page system works. Categories and articles?

I'm nowhere near experienced with Joomla. But I did look for your logo for you. It's at http://www.metalconnection.net/templates/j51_stainless/images/header.jpg and it's set on line 30 of your template.css stylesheet.

I'll just throw it out there, wordpress is insanely easy to use and there are tons of fr33 templates (if you are looking for a good paid one, u-design is the best imo).

Judging on how far you've made it currently, I would *highly* suggest moving to wordpress, u-design is ridiculously simple to setup, and wordpress has loads of plugins you can install for literally anything. Also, if your hosting doesn't give you ftp access or some baloney (wouldn't see why not) I would suggest 000webhosting
