How Long have You Played Runescape?
2 Year(s)

Are you affilated in anyway with Jagex LTD?
no

Were you Referred to SRL?

What is your general programming knowledge?
I started back in 2006 with building websites. (HTML, CSS) I made a online textbased multiplayer game with PHP and MySQL, and since 2011 I'm into bots from runescape. I'm learning this Pascal language very quickly now. Actually I already learned the pascal itself, I only need to get the hang of the functions y'all made :)

Are you a member of any other communities?
I'm a member on Runescape lol

I'm 18 years old and a big interest of me is Botting, robots or AI. I'm going to study Artificial Intelligence next year and I discovered this site and I like a lot how this community helps eachother :)
This site is a perfect way for me to start scripting AI systems so that I have a head start next year when I start my study :D

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.
I'm working on script but i'm not going to show it yet because it isnt working yet because a lot of work has to be done. I'm maybe (if needed) going to post a thread to the script request section to ask people if they want a simple script. (for me to show I can make scripts, and to learn more :))
I didn't know I had to show something but maybe I can edit this later after I have somethin' ready?;)

I kindly ask that you look at:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74195
and look at the guideline for applying to members. I do like the start of the script, and encourage you to go forth and finish it! I am not voting because I do not have a complete application to vote on.

Yeh sorry mate.

The script is incomplete and so are some of the functions. I suggest you complete the script and re-apply because it's a no from me :(

Having said that, your Activity is also something which needs to be worked on. You should consider re-applying when it's about double of what it is now.

Best of luck! :)

okay, but then I shall make another script. this one will take too long to complete.
thanks , I understand the "no" votes.
but my Activity? I've only been here about a week, and been here every 5 times a day… reading and learning!
Yeah that's true! I've learned a lot already from this site. I don't know where the activity is based on, but I don't understand why It's soo bad for me then :P

SRL is a privilege to be honest, we have fixed rules and requirements… theres many people who prove eager in learning during the early months but most decline… so these requirements are here to stop people who rush things :)

No from me, however If you go through the beginner and intermediate tutorials next application I'm sure you'l get in. Give it a good month and a half though

Okay I know enough, I take my time and try again in a month or so ;)

/Close this topic :)

P.S. Just added a breaking script into my script so it will take a break after a random amount of hours :) working very well :D
But anyway I'm going to make a script soon if some1 requests it in my topic I made in the scripts section :) So If you want to help me: request a script that a beginner can make please :) I will make a very nice stable script from it :D

If(tol>=5) then
begin
tol := 0 ;
inc(ys);
WriteLn(ys);
end;
You can't WriteLn an Integer, it must be a string so you need to convert it.
WriteLn('Ys is: '+IntToStr(ys)+'');

Anyways, the script looks pretty well made so far but you will need to apply with an actual finished/working script. You can have some minor mistakes in there but it must work :P

I like that you have many failsafes, but I would personally try have just one failsafe in case something fails. You should just make sure that your procedure doesn't fail often.

Yes you can :S

program new;
Var
i : integer;
begin
for i := 1 to 5 do
WriteLn(i);
end.
Compiled successfully in 31 ms.
1
2
3
4
5
Successfully executed.

*******************************************************************************}
function CanSeeGE: Boolean;
Begin
Result := True;
End;
What? :confused:

Looks like a good start, but try something where you can show off your tallents, a flipping script would have to be very good to get you in…

It's a no from me, sorry. Stick around for a while, learn as much as you can, help as much as you can, and it will surely be a yes from me next time :)

Also, for repetitive things like this:

If ((GEIsSpotFree(1) = False)
Or (GEIsSpotFree(2) = False)
Or (GEIsSpotFree(3) = False)
Or (GEIsSpotFree(4) = False)
Or (GEIsSpotFree(5) = False)
Or (GEIsSpotFree(6) = False)) And (EmptyAllSlots = False) Then StopOurScript('Failed to empty all slots',False,0);// empty all slots

You can use a for..to..do statement to make it more efficient:

for i := 1 to 6 do
begin
if (GEIsSpotFree(i) = False) then
begin
if (i = 6) and not (EmptyAllSlots = False) then
Break;
StopOurScript('Failed to empty all slots',False,0);// empty all slots
end;
end;

I don't really know how you wanted to incorporate EmptyAllSlots, but that is exactly what you have above using for..to..do. You're off to a great start, good luck!

He said it was a work in progress leetsxc, so a number of his functions are incomplete (did make me go whaaa when I first looked at it lol)

Sorry to bump this, but will a script like a totally failsafed wine maker (incredibly fast cooking exp.) be enough for getting into members? Because I think I want to make that. :D

Being a SRL Member isn't only about having the ability to make good scripts, it is also community related. Not to forget, activity related.

A wine maker doesn't really require advanced techniques such as TPA's so I would probably vote no script based. Then again, if you would have an extremely high activity and if you would help out loads of people that could change the decision.

I think it would be more preferable if you waited and applied again at a later date, not to discourage you, but just to demonstrate that you can stick around and help out in the community :)
