I am 18 years old living in the united states currently doing factory work. I will be attending school for wildlife management soon. I came across this site because I am a huge fan of rs and remember using the old color snatching programs from a long time ago before i even really realized what it was. I believe it was SCAR because that name rings a bell, but I am not trying to be ignorant that might not be it. I am really trying to learn alot and this website has been a huge help! thanks.
Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts. Haven't learned enough to write any extensive ones yet.
I am sorry, but you need a script to apply for SRL members.

I just found the post showing how to become a member and since i do not have a script is there anyway to take down my application or do I still get voted on? (don't want to waste anyone's time) Also when writing the script is their any guidelines, like it must be written for RS or any script i wrote just showing my knowledge? (i now know i must wait 4 weeks to re-apply) Thanks & Sorry.

No the apps up you'll have to wait for it to be closed, it would be best to write for RS, as that way you'll be able to make the best use of the SRL library. Also if I was you I wouldn't apply in 4 weeks since it'll take a bit before you've made a name for yourself in the community (AKA being active and apart of the community)

If you really want the application to close, I'm sure an admin could do it for you, just report your post. Other than that, just read some tutorials, don't be afraid to ask and apply again in a few weeks!
Can't you use the moderation tools and delete your own thread?
Thread Tools > Moderation Tools > Delete Thread?

NKN, i don't have those options under thread tools for some reason.
And to R4and0m, thanks for all the guides they are really informative, btw i joined a a week ago its jun not jan ;) I'm still just getting used to getting around the site, never really used many forum sites before.

You cant delete your thread. Also, a question out of interest. If you don't have the skill to write a "extensive" script as you called it, What made you think you qualified to be a Member.

punkd, When I submitted my application I didn't know not having a script would be a Huge No from everyone as I didn't find the guide on how to become a member until after the fact. Sorry.
That can happen, good luck learning! Remember that there is a huge difference between becoming a member here than becoming a member at any other forum. This will definately be harder but you will also learn loads of interesting stuff during that time!
