Scar script to EXE

I was wondering if there was any way to convert a scar script to an exe. I think there is because of all those sythe scripts.

This is what I'm using. For a prank. If you want to stop press F12

program New;
{.include SRL/SRL.scar}

var
frmDesign : TForm;
Button1 : TButton;
Memo1 : TButton;

procedure InitForm;
begin
frmDesign := CreateForm;
frmDesign.Left := 250;
frmDesign.Top := 114;
frmDesign.Width := 696;
frmDesign.Height := 480;
frmDesign.Caption := 'frmDesign';
frmDesign.Color := clBtnFace;
frmDesign.Font.Color := clWindowText;
frmDesign.Font.Height := -11;
frmDesign.Font.Name := 'MS Sans Serif';
frmDesign.Font.Style := [];
frmDesign.Visible := False;
frmDesign.Show;
frmDesign.PixelsPerInch := 96;
Button1 := TButton.Create(frmDesign);
Button1.Parent := frmDesign;
Button1.Left := 283;
Button1.Top := 213;
Button1.Width := 112;
Button1.Height := 25;
Button1.Caption := 'Click here to stop';
Button1.ModalResult := 2;
Button1.TabOrder := 8;
Memo1 := TButton.Create(frmDesign);
Memo1.Parent := frmDesign;
Memo1.Left := 249;
Memo1.Top := 308;
Memo1.Width := 185;
Memo1.Height := 29;
Memo1.ModalResult:=3;
Memo1.Caption:='If you really want to stop press F12';
Memo1.TabOrder := 9;
end;

procedure SafeInitForm;
var
v: TVariantArray;
begin
setarraylength(V, 0);
ThreadSafeCall('InitForm', v);
end;

procedure MouseinBox;
begin
repeat
GetMousePos(x,y);
if (InCircle(x,y,592,370,65)) then
begin
Case Random(2)+1 of
1:MoveMouse(Random(682),Random(600));
2:MoveMouse(x+(Random(400)),y+Random(600));
end;
end;
until(IsFKeyDown(12))
end;

begin
SafeInitForm;
MouseInBox;
FreeForm(frmDesign);
end.

re name and add .exe to the end?

Bobarkinator

Tried that and it didn't work. I'll mess with some other programming see if I can get it to do it.

Edit: Woot 200 posts

Lmfo,
i was just about to say the same thing… :D i wish you could save SCAR as a .exe file with it compiling fine….

That would be sweet.

Hahaha, good joke. :P

Kaitnieks didn't add compiler to SCAR because it would have cause massive amounts of keyloggers.

I think it can be done, but if Freddy ever does it MUST be developer/member only. :)

I started VB6 like month ago too. Its kinda cool making those exes…

You got a download link I can't find one anywhere?

I believe he is referring to Microsoft Visual Basic 6.
Check out the M$ website for more information :)

Sythe's programs are indeed all coded in VB

It can certainly be done, but I won't because as you said, alot of people would just abuse it and that's exactly what I want to avoid.

aww.. man i really want to make SCAR into .exe files
lol , i won't abuse it…

:p Learn assembly…it probably wouldn't be too hard to make scar's compiler ([ctrl]+[f9]) dump to a disk instead of ram…

I bet you could even grab the script out of memory as it ran, but that might get a bit complicated….

It would absolutely be nice to actually compile SCAR scripts! 1 of the good things of course would be the speed with executables. ..and don't you guys tell me to start using iBot, because I don't play nor use SCAR (or any other programs) for RuneScape… :P

Freddy, why not somekind of feature with which executables could be turned back to SCAR code anytime scripter/script user wants/needs to? That way the executables could be checked out VERY easily. Or is it impossible thing to do? :/ Also, then SCAR would still stay safe to use - scripts could be verified same way as it is happening right now (trusted people checking out em and then commenting).

I don't think there would be that much scamming around, not at least around biggest communities (SRL, Moparisthebest, Sythe, Freddy1990, Fagex). In small ones there is anyways scamming and other not so good things happening all the time. You can't do nothing about it.

Hopefully there just could be somekind of solution for getting it added to SCAR.

Just throwing out suggestions..

People could still pack the exe's, etc.

I don't like the idea of scar script compiling for the masses.

Then you'll end up with a whole community of leechers who don't even know what scar is, and a few elite people who make all the scripts

Secet

2007-04-13 16:41:38

Or make compiler private, and everyone who wants their script compiled has to pay 5 million to Freddy :p

Bobarkinator

2007-04-14 00:02:48

Freddy would become rich. But he doesn't use the gold for RS.

syberium

2007-04-14 01:59:41

the only reason i could see for making scar compile to a .exe would be to to keep the source private for pay scripts and to keylog or cause mass dmg to a comp.. so the bads HIGHLY out weigh the goods so i doubt it will happen.. =/

Janilabo

2007-04-14 04:01:57

What if the filetype wouldn't be .exe? ;) + You didn't check out what I suggested Syberium - I suggested a feature to SCAR with which the executable (compiled script) could be turned back to code anytime very quickly and easily (not sure if its possible to make though? :/).

Also, there could be warnings with compiled scripts, and they could be disabled if wanted/needed (but those warnings WILL always pop up with first time). With the warnings there could also be information with which program they are scripted & compiled (SCAR<3) and maybe links to trusted sites (SRL, Moparisthebest, Freddy1990), where people can look codes through for those who doesn't have scripting knowledge. :)

Don't just look after negative things, compiled scripts would have alot advantages too. And I am sure it would bring even more people into SCAR scripting. :p

How about this: A "portable" SCAR.
Two executables, RunSCAR.exe, and EditSCAR.exe, with a .inf file for specific settings that the author could set up ("Enable SRL, Enable Benmouse" etc, similar to SetupSRL.scar), and a /data/ folder with the SCAR scripts and SRL folder in it…
You would run "EditSCAR.exe" to set up the settings, then save it, then run "RunSCAR.exe" to run the script. Basic functions but smaller, just a window with debug output etc, that can be controlled with CTRL+ALT+R and CTRL+ALT+S.
Portable SCAR.
:)

Edit: And yes, I do know that it wouldn't be too different from SCAR right now in terms of usability, but because of this being more 'basic' it would be easier to send it to people say, over MSN in a rar archive.

Smartzkid

2007-04-22 18:58:01

Ehh?

Now you can't tell me that was hard for you to run

Add a form for all setup stuff, and you got a whole 'portable' script!

By the way, this aint gonna happen. Freddy made it very clear :p

The main thing with converting to .exe is no performance issues, what I'm working on is a private program to convert .scar files into fully working delphi code, then all I need to do is compile it and run.

Smartzkid

2007-04-27 14:18:14

How much faster do they run?

How do you get srl stuff to work?

Since we're bumping ancient topics anyway…
I'd propably use the gold to hold contests and to sell to invest back into SCAR's development :)
