As it would so happen, I need a few in-home appliances. Much to my dismay, I cannot access the "Appliances" forum - suppose those new sconces shall have to wait.

Satire aside, I understand the term "appliance" may define as “the act of applying"; however, the plural form of the word acts as cause for ambiguity. In an effort keep this website in high regard, I think it would be better to use the term "Application(s)" to make the purpose of that particular forum crystal clear. Again, it simmers down to personal preference. In the end, I am attempting to act in the best interest of the community; whether I accomplish this is decidedly up to the powers-that-be.

I'm really not sure why you can even see why the forum exists tbh, but that doesn't really matter.

On topic, I do agree with you, although I don't think it's a real 'problem'.

It was discussed here where it was deemed that it would stay. Then it resurfaced here a couple of years later, so this thread is right on schedule ;)

Happy to see things running like clockwork. More on topic: by no means is this a pressing matter, just a question of preferred nuance - like previously stated, it all comes down to personal preference. However if the decision is final, this thread is irrelevant.
