If you want to buy scripts, it's not allowed here. You can go to Sythe or ToxSin scripts.

Why would you preview private scripts, unless you wanted to buy them? I was just mentioning the "No script sales" because almost every new person who comes here asks it. I was squashing it before there was a chance to.
It's either private or it's not, there's really no middle ground.

The private scripts are a reward for being a Member of this community. The SRL Member rank isn't about the scripts, whatsoever.

if you were to look at a members app, youd see most people that vote dont care about the script at all. some care that its written properly and stuff, but alot are about how active and nice you are. once you are a member, the scripts in that section are pointless anyways because you could make them yourself. i still havent bothered to download any of the members only script because if i really want them, i could make them

Even if they do not care about the script, it is still a requirement and without it, the applicants have no chance. Most people in the world are able to fulfill all parts of that form with no problem, but writing a script is another thing. I am no arguing my way in. I am only stating a point.
Kinda got side tracked… I only asked in hopes to see some sort of preview, which included a private section due to the fact that I did not know it was hidden.

Applicants do have a chance, it's not impossible. All you need is to be helpful around the forums, be active and helpful. The script just shows that you have the knowledge of the library.

People are forgetting that this is a learning community first, not a botting forum. Providing previews for the Member scripts only reinforces the "for the scripts" ideology for getting members.
Should people have previews to the SSRL and Developer scripts too? No. Because that's not what we are about.

This thread was never intended for asking SRL to change the way it was, but I guess we got side tracked. It was originally intended to find out if there actually a private section, but it is nice to hear everyone's opinions.
Let bring up how the way SRL runs. The way SRL is trying to make super humans in a way. If everyone ran the same logic, the world would be a disaster. If farmers were to produce food and only share it with other people who can produce food, wouldn't society get fucked over? I can see how SRL only wants the best of the best, but that just makes life tougher. Not everyone can code efficiently. Even if someone can code something basic, it may not even be worth using due to efficiency. Why would someone waste time learning something and code something that isn't that great and only end up getting rejected. Wouldn't have been wise for them to pursue something that they are more capable of?

So what's the point of a preview then? Since the only way you can get them is to become an SRL Member. There's no way around it.
We aren't trying to make super humans, people who can code/script/program are anything but that. You're looking at it from a "botting forum" point of view, which is NOT what we are about. The private scripts in Members+ are rewards for being a solid member of the community, not the reason to become a Member.
Your farmer analogy is completely wrong. We don't owe anyone, anything. It's up to the users who join our community to advance, and the ones who choose to, get rewarded. It doesn't happen overnight, it takes time.
It seems that you're still missing the point of our community. It's NOT about the scripts, whatsoever. It's about being involved, helpful, and learning. That is it, nothing else.
Learning to script even the most basic of scripts isn't a waste of time, because you learn something new. If it's not efficient, you learn how to make it efficient, you practice. If you don't want to learn to script, then that's fine, we honestly don't care. You just don't get to reap the benefits of someone who can.
I understand that not everyone can script, because of time/life/school/etc. Not everyone who can script gets into Members, not all Members were accepted the first time. Some Members didn't even write a script to become one.

False statement. I used to be a leech, for more than 1 year. The reason I came to villavu is the same as almost all of the members here, thinking of leeching some scripts out of it. But after being here for a month, I can feel the community is meant to "learn and earn". After starting to script, you will only get better. Even if you had any problem, as long as you are willing to learn, people here will give you a hand in any problem you encounter. As like what Kyle said, I feel I can make anything I want now. Hardwork pays, hardwork never betrays.
However, I still like the idea of previews of scripts. Having a look of what's inside the members section is what motivated me from learning at the beginning. In the end, learnt that I can actually make them myself, didn't actually have the motivation of applying members anymore. Target was to know what's inside and script it myself to learn more advanced codes, that makes my reward = scripts that is the same inside, and improved skills. But that's just what I think, might not apply to everyone else.

More than enough food produced by farmers that is shared with all other people.

Every of us leechers starts up scripting the same point. If A became a good scripter a month later and B still can't finish his first script, are you going to say A is genius and B is just dumb? I'd say A puts in much more effort than B. Everyone is capable of scripting with simba. I had totally zero knowledge on scripting. Unlike some people that has a lot of time, I'm a busy person in final year of degree in business. But making my first script actually only using some of my free time in 3 days. The moment you see it working and release your first script,
IT FEELS REALLY GOOD :f:
AND I'M SURE ITS THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE. FOR A MOMENT YOU FELT LIKE YOU'RE CHUCK NORRIS :norris:

But farmers are not required to give away their hard earned crops that they put labor into. Instead, some farmers have decided to teach others how to farm so that people learn to become self-sufficient, thus solving world hunger.
There's a quote that says "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish…" Anyways, I'm just a bored individual so don't mind me….
From: ashaman88
Farmers are not a good example…you would die without food…you won't die without the private scripts. Thus food is necessary to live, while bots are not.

That is true. If every became self sufficient, the wotld would improve at a slower rate. It is better for people to focus what they are good at and share with each other. That quote is true too. I guess it really depends on how you view things.

It is an okay example. I could easily use a car example. Works the same way.

So your argument is basically this:
"Because people in the world aren't self sufficient, neither do I(We)."
From: Kyle Undefined
I'm just curious as to your reason to keep discussing this. I honestly don't know any other way to put it, as it's been explained before.

Also, a car example isn't good either. You don't NEED a car, you WANT a car.

You are just a small portion of the world. You can't really call yourself self sufficient unless you are able to do everything by yourself. You are self sufficient in terms of scripting. I am saying the world and everyone is better off doing what they do best and sharing what they end up with. I am not saying they can't do what others are better at. Somewhat confusing.
From: iFail247
That can be applied to meat. You don't NEED meat, you WANT meat. A human only needs food to survive, but not meat. Meat just makes people more satisfied and makes it easier on them to go on about their day. A car/bike/bus/etc makes someones life much easier because they can get to places much quicker.

I was referencing what it sounds like you're saying, not me personally. Since it seems that you want to benefit from things that you haven't earned when others have. All of this is coming from your posts.
So again, your argument is basically this:
"Because people in the world aren't self sufficient, neither do I(We)."
And by I, I mean yourself, as if you're speaking.
Again, you don't need a car/bike/bus/etc. You just want to use something that someone else came up with. You're right, humans don't need meat. You're also being contradicting in that paragraph.
From: ashaman88
If I wanted meat I would pay for it. If I didn't have the money or if it wasn't for sale, I would hunt some for myself. If I couldn't learn to hunt I would just have to do without :(
