Does anyone know whats todays system update to rs was? thank you!

Think it had to do with the fish flingers or whatever the new fishing update was.

Thread on RSOF says servers had memory issues(lag at castle wars, your account is logged in messages etc), and this expanded their memory. The real reason for the update is to make the fish mask rare though.

Lol dunno then, some guys posted that on RSOF and their posts got hidden in like 30 secs, thought that was the actual reason.

Are u guys excitied or upset with the future update to combat….im uneasy about how it will affect rs

I think it will toattaly kill old runescape for me (1def pures and whole clanworld)

Jagex is just moveing closer to other mmorpgs( WOW, Guildwars) which i think is a very bad idea for them from a business stand point. I mean think about it if you played wow for 2 year would you really consider going to a new game that is kinda like the one you have invested 2 years of time into? Plus they will drive away some of their current players who play rs because its different form those other mmorpgs! I think this update is much more of a threat to the longevity of runescape then any previous update.

I hope that when BETA comes out and most of the people HATE the combat system, hopefully for ONCE jagex will listen to their players and not go through with the update to the combat.

Sure they put a lot of work into it, but if like 95% of the people hate it, and 50% are actually willing to quit for good because they were mostly PvM players.
I dunno. I kinda like the current one. Its unique. Would hate to see it become like other games…

Guys come on! Just look at some of the updates and quit raging about quitting. The updates aren't that bad and they will HELP PvM and most likely make PvP even more fun. Yeah pures are going to get wrecked by anyone but there weren't supposed to be pures in the game to begin with. It wasn't Jagex's intention to make pures stronger than others their combat level. They aren't getting rid of special attacks completely because they are substituting them for abilities which will do almost the exact same thing!

Im not bashing jagex, I appreciate the fact that thier updates are often enjoyable and make the game better! However what I am trying to point out is that they are in my view going to loose tons long time memebers which could be a large chunk of thier profits. Due to the fact that people play runescape over other mmorpgs because it is unique and not like the rest of them in the way you play it. I believe this will then snowball into more "money hungry" updates like the buying squeel spins and thusly more people quiting due to more distaste and mistrust directed towards jagex.

You can still use the plain old 1 click to attack but it is just going to be made faster by adding abilities and a hotbar. Which would help skilling a lot as you can add items to the hotbar like logs for fletching or spells like superheat or high alch!

Im not personally upset with the update at all mate! Im honestly exctied for a change of pace in rs. Im trying to express my opinion from a business stand point of what repercussions it could have finacially which would affect the game.

I really don't think there will be anything else that involves buying things in game for irl cash except maybe loyalty points. Anything else will honestly ruin the game for players.

The reason they did that in the first place was most likely because of the huuuuge loss of profit due to the bot nuke and mass ban. If enough people do quit due to this they will need to find new avenues of revenue and they have shown that an option they welcome is cash for things in thier game.

I really don't see why they haven't started advertising RS on the internet and tv commercials…

only jagex will know…

I look forward to an update in the boring combat system of Jagex.

Yeah I did have login issues because Jagex's memory was insufficient. Login Servers really do need improvement. :fiery:
