Does anyone here listen to YT commentators on a regular basis? I have a channel of my own that I've had for a while, just trying to expand at the moment. Mostly CoD at the moment it seems, but hoping to bring fresher things to the table.
I know this is a pretty cheap plug for views, but it would be nice to gain a wider audience.

I enjoy watching gaming videos with commentary and I believe it will help your channel out as long as your mic is clear. (You don't want to sound like you are 10)

I know what you mean, I've watched some commentaries where you can barely hear the guy due to mic quality. My mic isn't exactly expensive, £15 from Amazon, but it seems to do the job alright for the time being. If I get more into this hobby, I expect I'll invest in something a little more professional.

Nice work bro, I watched your latest shotgun one, and cod4 backpacking one. Quite enjoyable (or is it just your accent haha)
One thing you were talking about is bad mic quality, do you have a USB soundcard? You can get one from ebay for about $1.50:

I know what you mean about drinks down south. I was paying £3.60 the other day as well. Complete rip off. Maybe a way to increase views would be to do a video or two about BO2? There's probably tonnes of 10 year olds searching it up, and there's a good chance they'd stumble upon your video.

I do have a USB sound card, but the problem is that my headset is USB itself, so I can't use it, which is a bit of a shame, but I could invest in something like a Snowball in future. You're the first person to compliment my accent :p

I've been listening to WingsOfRedemption since mw2, same with Woody, and MurkaDurka. I've also really been enjoying The Creatures for the past year. I watch both Painkiller Already and Creature Talk on a regular basis :p

In order to get popular you need to do what's new, what people are searching and looking for.
Make sure to put a lot of tags and stuff in the description to make your video's get found easier!

Does putting loads of tags in the description make an impact on other people's search results? I thought it was just tags in the tags section

I used to be subbed to 20-30 CoD commentators at one point, now that number has been cut down to 4. I think I've just gotten bored of listening, especially since I stopped playing Call of Duty a few months ago. From "Fail Friday" to "Dual comms with my mom" to "OMG LOL CARE PAKAG KIL" to "Hey guys it's Sam or Xjawz" every fking video, things in the CoD community have turned too corny and rehearsed for my liking. I guess I just prefer live comms with real reactions and genuine gameplay, which explains why I'm still subbed to and regularly watch Xcal and Ons1augh7.
Straying away from specifically Call of Duty, I do also enjoy watching various competitive Super Smash Bros/Melee/Brawl videos. Commentary or no commentary.
Runescape videos, not so much. I find them very boring to watch.

Nice video's enjoyed mainly the CoD ones since I don't really like MineCraft (Seems boring), one of my friends also does this and he posted on the Runescape forums about doing a complete review of the new combat system as he's signed up for the beta and Jagex actually in-boxed him and told him that they will sponsor his YouTube channel if he can do 72-days of recorded playing with the new combat system

Yeah, I think the CoD videos attract a wider audience, but I do like to mix it up with some Minecraft, because I enjoy it.
