Open a script, run it.
Open a second tab.
All of the debug from 1st tab is shown in debug box of 2nd tab.
Reason:
Now with SMART 7 soon to be public/out/released you can run multiple scripts per simba in different tabs and each gets their own SMART window.
When running multiple scripts in tabs like this, it would be nicer for each script to debug in it's own box, instead of all of them debugging in one box.

Didn't SCAR used to have a report box for randoms? Or maybe Simba does I'm not sure. But a separate debug and report box per tab would be so useful!!!

Yup. I think most people used the report box to print progress reports and the debug box to print debug. Makes sense really…

I started a thread a little while ago about the report box, but it didn't get much attention at all. Not sure about discussion regarding separate debug boxes though.

This was planned for as long as I can remember, but development was delayed because there wasn't a whole lot of use for it. Now that there is, maybe someone will get around to adding it.
Dgby has actually already done quite a bit of it. His commit can be found
here.

I suggest that when implemented, we should still be given an option to merge all debugs (like what it is now), as sometimes it may be preferable to just monitor all scripts from a single debug box. (like when you aren't on 'debug mode' and only crucial stuffs are shown so it isn't too overwhelming).
It's a great idea to separate proggies from debug. Perhaps separate 1/4 of the debug box for purely progress report. I presume it works like you'll have to call a different procedure like 'WriteReportLn' to write in the progress report box instead?

Yeah, that would be best imo. Saves me having to clear debug and post a proggy constantly for it to show up :p
