We've recently implemented our "Optimus" update (alongside out FPS patch) that should allow us to implement anti-bot updates much more frequently and efficiently!

Not that I know of and I was just browsing the forums trying to figure out wtf happened to world 77.. We were dungeoneering and everyone got kicked and the world went down to 1 player in it..

So I checked tech. support to see if it was just me and then I saw that -__-

Soo… Jagex are trying to say they have released Optimus update?

I think were all getting it wrong….
A few weeks ago they released something and then maybe today/recently they did too, both updates are just there to HELP THEM implement optimus and other updates in the FUTURE. All bots including Simba(which optimus isn't even tageting), and the reflection/injection boys are still rubbing just fine.
The updates recently are just there to help then roll out optimus and other updates in the future.

Another reason why I believe this
Well fist of all, all bots are still worming
And second we all know Jagex LOVES to show off their effectiveness against bots with big news posts, countdowns, and an article on their homepage.
None of this has happened yet.

Optimus is close, but not here yet.

This is exactly what I was thinking! Except… I thought it with a lot fewer spelling mistakes ;) All good you are probably on your phone or something anyway! Lol

That's not what I read.. Optimus is already there. Optimus doesn't remove bots according to that post even though they previously said optimus removes bots :S. It helps them implement measures to catch and remove them. Sounds like an engine to me, not a bot remover.

I can't recall 100% for sure but I though Jagex introduced optimus as a method/update to remove bots. I guess it could have changed functions to a engine maybe, allowing for updates, one of which will remove bots.

But I believe initially it was introduced strictly to remove bots. (FOR SURE injection/reflection bots ONLY, optimus for sure is NOT targeted towards us/color bots)

Here come all the threads asking "is it safe to bot:/" "Mod Twigs said" "How long is safe to bot now" "Optimus blah blah blah"…

I think Mod Twigs is really dumb for making this statement. Clearly it wasn't optimus just as YohoJo previously stated, it may have been an aid or something. Could be also due to the fact optimus is such a huge roll-out of an update that they are doing it in bits. Who knows, but I don't believe that it was optimus, because if it was, we'd all be getting double exp or something, lol.

Judging by the Mod's post, Optimus isn't a bot nuke. It's an infrastructure change, a conduit to allow easier updating and nuking in the future. We shouldn't be seeing any changes on our end (yet), and I doubt they'll be very forthcoming when they do make anti-botting changes.

Of course as long as the game is still visible to humans, color will work. I'm not worried at all :p
