So, the mad may necklace has just come out. Basically if you were a member for the whole month of may, you get a mad necklace. The necklace is 250k worth of exp. To all that have it, what stat will you guys bot with the exp? :DDDD


This necklace can be used in dungeoneering, however it would not get you double token rewards. Also DO NOT USE THIS FOR SLAYER. If you do, the exp will be used for slayer and combat, so the exp will deplete faster

I can almost guarentee there will be a glitch to make this necklas not run out..

In addition, the necklace gives the full 2X boost to Summoning whereas the on the Bonus Exp Weekends, Summoning was only given a 1.1X boost.

No bonus experience is gained while wearing the necklace at the Ectofuntus

Personally I think I will be using it on summoning.

Same here summoning seams the best to use it on as getting the charms in a bit off a pain!

Jagex is adding them manually (src: wikia), I can imagine it will take a while.

Wait, if I joined on like 4:30 PM PST May 1st, then does that mean I can get it? Can't get on RS right now. :/

I got mine instantly just by going to Diango, and asking "Do you have anything else". Anyways, does anyone know the weight of this item, or if it even has a weight? Have somebody questing on my account atm, so I can't check. Was thinking of using this for agility. Either that or construction, but I've got to farm some sacred clay hammers first.

Well i signed for mad may when i saw that ad when i logged in a while ago.. but i cant get the necklace.. jagex you tricksters

The best choice for legits is probably summoning, but for botters…
Its either between dg/slayer, cant bring it into dg so slayer is the only choice. To avoid wasting xp bonus on combat, only put the neck on when the monster is about to die (may be hard for cannon tasks though)

The necklace does work for bonus Dungeoneering. It can be worn into the dungeon and equipped at the end to provide 2x Dungeoneering experience (tokens will not be doubled). Note: equip the necklace only when moving to the next dungeon if you want all the experience solely for Dungeoneering exp.

This is not true, I have done 2x Magic tree runs and it is still at 44% (One tree died so 9 trees * 13k xp/tree = well over 125k bonus xp gained).

I actually got 500k summoning exp for 250k exp worth of charms :P

I think I'm gonna do crafting. I have over 5k battlestaffs saved up.

Well, i buyed membership in the middle of the month or something, so i sadly wont get it.

i havent received the neck too, im gonna head to diango and see if i can get it that way, and its true jagex is manually giving this ones away

yeah, but it has give me the motivation to actually do dungeoneering, as i hate it so much

Er, you do realise the exp boost stops after this month and then you can get the item from diango again like with hati gloves.

you should clean until extreme's, thats what I did, did not take too long.

Got myself 88 summoning with it. It looks like we might be able to reuse it in the future, well charge it because i didn't disappear.

I used my one on Herblore - I was attempting to get ovls at the time… In hindsight I probably should have used it on Summoning but.. oh well. Too late now!

Hmmm not sure if I'll get it ran out of membs the last week of may :/ shame kinda wanted one
