Let me hazard a guess: you didn't read the part about it needing a recent release candidate of Simba 0.99, did you?
It's beta for a reason, stick with v7.0 until there is a v7.1 official release with Simba 0.99

And SRL doesn't compile with simba .99 properly.
So stick to NON betas and the the NORMAL releases.
I'd go to the install guide and follow it step by step to get the release versions of everything.
