Post any problems you have, winter garden only (my members ran out).

From: putonajonny
There are other scripts out there (maybe not for this client) that do the summer garden for free, but that's not what SRL is about, it's about givining you the opportunity to learn for yourself…

      Strings[0] := Garden_Winter;     //Which garden
(*Choose the garden here:
- Garden_Winter
- Garden_Spring
- Garden_Autum
- Garden_Summer*)

Strings[1] := Reward_Fruit; //Reward_Fruit or Reward_Herbs
(*Choose whether to pick fruit or herbs
- Reward_Fruit
- Reward_Herbs*)

Strings[2] := Glasses_Collect;
(*
- Glasses_Withdraw - Withdraws beer glasses from your bank
- Glasses_Collect - Collects glasses from the spawn spot (recommended)
- Glasses_None - just banks the fruit

If you are using herbs ignore this option *)

If you haven't already you need to download the Object DTM include

How to update this for another garden:

First of all I recommend you go to line 31 and remove the two // at the start of the line, then watch it on the winter garden several times over to understand how it works.

  1. WalkToStart - You need to add a section to this function to walk to the gate of your chosen garden, shouldn't be very difficult.
  2. OpenGate - You need to add a section to this function for walking to your chosen garden.
  3. GotCaught - You need to add a section to this function that determines whether you are back in the middle of the gardens (based on minimap colours or something)
  4. WaitForColorsInBoxes - This is the function used to determine when we can walk, I'll explain how it walks:
  5. Function WaitForColorsInBoxes(Colour : integer; Boxes : array of array of TBox; Tol : integer; TimeOut : integer) : Boolean;
    This function analyses the minimap, say this is you: It waits until there is at least one pixel of yellow inside each of the different colours of boxes, so currently it wouldn't return true because neither the blue or the purple boxes have yellow in them, however the brown does, only once at least one of each colour box has yellow in it, once it got to this: it would return true and you could walk. I'll now explain the parameters: Colour - The yellow colour of the minimap dot Boxes - A 2d array of the boxes, in the above example Boxes[0] is the blue boxes Boxes[1] is the purple boxes and Boxes[2] are the purple ones. Boxes[0][0] is the vertical blue box, Boxes[0][1] is the horizontal one. This is how the boxes are defined:
          SetArrayLength(B, 2);
    B[0] := [IntToBox(x - 10, y, x + 10, y + 4), IntToBox(x + 3, y - 10, x + 8, y)];
    B[1] := [IntToBox(x - 12, y + 9, x - 3, y + 32)];
    WaitForColorsInBoxes(62714, B, 30, 0);
    This is how you set them, should be fairly self explanatory. Tolerance - The tolerance for finding the yellow colour, 30 seems to never fail. Timeout - This is a wait function, so it does not just test once then give the result, this is how long you want it to keep trying for, if you set it to 0 it will never timeout.
  6. You now need to create a procedure called SpringGarden or whatever garden you are doing.
  7. In this you are going to need to call the WalkToStart procedure, then the OpenGate one (with failsafes).
  8. Then you are going to need to use some method to determine where to put your boxes (if you know exactly where you are you can use static co-ordinates which work well)
  9. You need to move your mouse to the point you want to click.
  10. You need to run the WaitForColorsInBoxes function, once that is done you need to click.
  11. You need to keep doing this until you get to the end of the maze.
  12. Now depending on whether you are collecting fruit or herbs you need to add that to the end of this procedure (Or Both).
  13. At every step during that procedure you need to have:
  14.   if(GotCaught)then
    begin
    inc(Failures)
    exit;
    end;
    That way if you get caught it won't keep trying to get through the maze, it will start again.
  15. At the end of it, once you have collected the fruit or the herbs you need to:
  16. inc(Successes);
  17. In the FindFruit Procedure you need to add a DTM of the fruit for your garden.
  18. Finally, go to the end of the script where it says:
  19.       Case Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[0] of
    Garden_Winter : WinterGarden(0);
    else
    begin
    WriteLn('Sorry '+Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[0]+' garden isn'+#39+'t supported yet');
    exit;
    end;
    You need to add your garden in here, like:
          Case Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[0] of
    Garden_Winter : WinterGarden(0);
    Garden_MyNewGarden : MyNewGarden();
    else
    begin
    WriteLn('Sorry '+Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[0]+' garden isn'+#39+'t supported yet');
    exit;
    end;

That's it, you are done! have fun with it, please post any problems, and please post what you made, I have gone to the effort of making a lot of this script and made it available for at least me, if not then everybody else here :)

perhaps you should make it fruit only and make people figure out the herb bit themselves?

Very nice release, had a look at the code, won't be using.

E: The only reason I wont be using this is because I have no need to run a Sorceress's Garden script/account. The script is 100% safe

All the functions that somebody who wanted to use this for the summer garden are there, I'm very happy with my WaitForColorsInBoxes function :) it works really well and can be used in every garden to detect when to walk (which is the hard part) all you need to add is the walking

Hey, I really don't want to be a leech, but what does
"Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'ObjectDTM\ObjDTMInclude.simba' used from" mean?

edit: so i downloaded the DTM but now I get
Object DTM Extension: Failed to grab remote extension.
ODTM Updater Enabled!
Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'ObjectDTM\ObjDTMInclude.simba' used from ''

edit: after hours of searching, i finally fixed it. thanks for the help guys *sarcasm*

After walking to the herbs, it only clicks the left herb ~ half the time.
Other than that,works probably 80% of the time.

80% is roughly what a human gets so that's quite good :) what do you mean about clicking the left herb?

Anyways I will look for my answers sorry I even asked.

Yeah, it's a good script :)

I mean, the herbs are set up as a diamond:

–X–
X—X
–X–

where X is the herb and - is some dirt. when you arrive at the patch, your code finds all the herbs and stores them in an array. however, this is where the code breaks - it will only succeed if it chooses the leftmost one (seems slightly more than 25% chance).

if it chooses the top or bottom ones, then it does something, dunno. returns the message 'you cannot reach that' in the rs window.

if it chooses right, then you run all the way around to the other side of the fence. this of course gets you caught by the winter elementals

Ok, I only ever used this for fruit, so herbs never really got tested, if somebody could create a new account and do Prince Ali Rescue on it I'll use the 14 day trial to fix it :)

I did the fruit part and it worked really really great.Am a little jealous it plays the game better than me.
Am up to summer lvl thou so decided to keep doing it manually since it take like what 4 or 5 fruit to make the juice at winter, its only 2 for summer.

I see that many people have had this problem, and I cannot figure out how to fix it. I know that you have to download ObjectDTM.sex and place it in your extensions folder. Then run Simba and enable the extension, but I'm still getting the error.

Is there something else that I'm too stupid to figure out?

After searching for literally hours, I found a random post on a random thread that suggested opening the extension directly from your files and selecting Simba to run it. Then, when Simba opens, update ODTM and it works fine.

Hope this helps anyone else having the problem.

Okay, hi.

Great script from what i can see, really intutive functions you have throughout.

From what i've tested so far, it has some trouble identifying the fruit tree, and somtimes it get's stuck and somtimes it can correct itself. I caught it hovering over the white pillars around the tree, and then the white hedge.

When i hit 65 theiving i'm going to try make one for summers garden, Im a total noob when it comes to scripting but you've done all the hard work already.

The only reason you would collect herbs is farming xp but since you have to bank 10 times as often with herbs I see little point

Each fruit uses 1/5th of a space (after you crush it)
Each herb run uses 2 spaces

Putonajonny,
I don't want to be a leecher, so I'll try to make the "Autumn" version fo this myself, but since I've never done scripting or programing before I have a few questions. First, is everything already set up that I just have to change the colors or is it harder than that? What should I change?

I would do that, but you have to get it up enough thieving levels to be able to have time at the end to make the script and test it, about 1 day for making 5/6 for testing to make it really good (so it can 100% for like half an hour like my winter one)

have a look at my quote on the OP

ZeusGoose

2012-06-24 02:26:14

Alright. I'm starting on my Spring Garden addition, but I have some questions that I would really appreciate some help with:

1) For the Winter "WalkToStart" procedure you have
Garden_Winter : begin
Repeat
FindColorsTolerance(Points, 329197, MMX1, MMY1, MMX2, MMY2, 30);
Until(GetArrayLength(Points) <> 0);
SortTPAFrom(Points, Point(MMX1, MMCY));
Mouse(Points[0].x, Points[0].y, 3, 3, mouse_Left);
end; Case Players[CurrentPlayer].Strings[0] of

For this, how much actually needs to be changed? And my biggest question is what does the number "329197" reference?

2) Something as simple as opening the gate has so much code. My problem is I don't understand the format of your parameters. From what I can tell, the only thing I'd need to change from the one for Winter would be few numbers, but I can't tell which ones and what the numbers are or how to find their replacements.

3) Couldn't the GotCaught be exactly the same as the winter?
Garden_Winter : begin
i := CountColorTolerance(3052666, MMCX - 5, MMCY - 5, MMCX + 5, MMCY + 5, 20);
Result := i > 10;
end
Would I just change "3052666"? (yet again, I don't know what that number is)

4) You describe how to set up the boxes, which isn't too hard, but I do not know how you go about finding the numbers to use.

5) Another thing I do not know how to do is find the colors of things in the game. Knowing how to do that could help.

I'm very sorry for the length of this post, but I legitimately want to learn how to fix this and I know enough to not be completely lost, but I know far too little to do it alone. Thank you for the help so far and any help you continue to give.
