training my main, and I've been using a dragon defender. I have bandos, turmoil, etc. I see some people using a DFS. I know it's higher str bonus, but not as accurate.

I don't need the def bonus, as i'm soul splitting for full hp. So whats better for me, DFS or drag defender? thanks :)!

Dragon defender definetly if you don't need the def bonus, it has higher att bonus which means you hit better etc.

if training then the defender is sooooooo much better. +20 attack bonus whereas the dfs is only and extra 1 str bonus compared to the defender. so yeah, i think it's clear which one to use :)

If defence is not needed, Dragon defender 100%/

like said before dragon defender is better for most situations, you have to think which ones you will face, need def? than a dfs is adviced, you dont, use a drag def which gives more important than the str bonus is the att bonus which the dfs doesnt give

It seems it's clear we all agree, defender is best. I figured as much, which is why I've been using it, I wonder why all these other people use dfs' sometimes… they must be noobs :spot:.

I usually go with the defender because of the offensive attack bonuses

defender is always great, dfs is mostly for high damaging monsters or monsters which use firebreath, and even then a super antifire and defender are preferred.

defender for training, dfs for boss fighting…

D defender for training. I don't think Dfs is really necessary :p

If castlewars or something like soulwars, use a DFS with hybrid armour.. You don't wanna get hit 800+ wielding a defender.

For defence either a spirit shield or dfs or chaotic shield.
For just plain combat use defender.

DFS is outclassed in every possible situation. Defender should be used in almost every situation except for certain bosses. Then there are dung shields and spirit shields.

DFS is the single most overrated item in the game.
