EDIT (June 10th): About 15 gold farmers have reached 200m hunter xp, and more are even nearing close to it, and jagex hasnt done anything about them. LOL!




This is pretty sad.
This dude is almost at 200m Hunter xp and ranked 36 in the skill. Check the 2nd - 10th page of the hunter highscore, and you'd be surprised from the number of bots that are way up in the top. Whats even more funny, is that he did Red Chinchompas all the way to the current level he's at now, I've seen him in world 58 doing so, no response, no action, always gets stuck when you light a fire.

nothing new :D check the runecrafting pages aswell , once i was questing in shilo and i looked one of those nature rune graahk rcers bots mostly all 99 + 1 was in top 40-80ish i was like wtf lol and his name was like lianxckn like that kind of crap

holy moly :| 8 ranks are all bots wow.. that must of racked in alot of $$

I currently am seeing if I can bot an account to more than one 200m xp skill. I actually just started today.

Add these Nature-crafters to your list. By the way, this was made a couple months ago, all the XP on all of those accounts is much higher now. Look up "Progreza"; #1 Nature-Crafting bot in Runescape, ranked #24 with, currently, 104M RC XP from Natures alone.

there are plenty goldfarm accounts in top of highscores (top 100), thats the proof jagex doesnt monitor that much the people ranked in the top

[J]ustin and I made a huge list for the hunters. There was about 11 people per red chimp spot. It was insane.

Haha that updated list contains the name of a friend's account..lol..

This is disgusting, jagex should really do something about this!

Whether you sell the gold or not, you still effect the economy by running your own scripts. I don't get the goldfarming hate.

I don't like how there are like 10 bots in one chinchompa spot. It is just irritating. And people like that don't deserve to be on highscores. I can't catch chinchompas myself.

Hopefully they will all be extinguished in the near future.

How isn't farming gold useful? Supply and demand my friend. Have to keep those employees at Jagex employed.

Also, the point is that you use bots to farm gold, hence you don't do much work yourself. You can still have a full-time job.

If there is a demand a supply will be created. It doesn't work the other way around, so think about the real problem.

lol they do work, and they still farm, to have extra money on the side, cause like in runescape, the economy in real life sucks some crazy balls and people even have trouble paying for food, or basic needs, some people can just afford them and nothing else, and need a bit of extra money, so letting an online game play that u can sell the gold for real money, while u work in real life, sounds like a great idea to me!

Anyone can buy a license to a bot whether it be a simba script or a reflection/injection script, create accounts, purchase a membership for a few of them, rent a normal vps, run those accounts till the membership runs out, create more accounts and use some gold to fund the memberships while selling the gold. Managing most of the accounts once everything is set up would take no less than one hour. It's no more time consuming than any other hobby like golf, or fixing up cars and it earns a little money on the side. It may be bad for the game, and make it harder for people to play, but you do what you gotta do, and I'd rather have a more effed up Runescape economy than a more effed up U.S economy.

Yes its bullcrap because i would like to hunt some chins to throw at some skellys (legit hunt), but I cant.

Wow! I remember a long time ago being amazed at the lvl 126 dragon killer bots. year 2007 ish. But 200m xp..WOW:duh:

OT: Yes, a bunch of those acc's have been rollbacked, they are now making their way back to the top, by hunting one red chinchompa at a time. Cant wait for Optimus

Some are botting grenwalls, I remember when rsbuddy had grenwall scripts, I saw this one bot with 70m xp just from botting grenwalls in the same world 24/7. Transfering that xp to gp, thats around 1.5b gained for that one bot.

It's 187mil exp from 13mil-200mil

Which is 705,660.3773584905660377358490566 Red Chins

Multiply that by the cost of each Red Chin you get:
438,920,754.71698113207547169811321

So realistically it's less then 450mil. Just rounded up to make it look nice. Good try though. Calculators and wikia are your friend. You were only roughly 3,061,079,246 off though. :f::f::f::f::f::f:

There's even a thread about it.

Hi,

We have just successfully identified and banned 101 high profile accounts, all whom had achieved over 150 million XP in Thieving and/or Hunter XP, mostly through the use of bots. As mentioned in last week’s “Bug Abusers Banned” news, thanks to a new way of analysing data we have been able to accurately seek out these high level offenders and take immediate action against them.

Many thanks for helping us to identify them through your ingame reports.

Expect lots more of this sort of action in the immediate future. The use of bots will not be tolerated and will result in permanent action against any accounts found to have cheated in this way.
