Money doesn't really take skill.

Get a half decent script, 6-10 workers doing the same thing and you can get money easy. Although it does ruin the game and isn't really the point.

Skills are more of an achievement IMO.

I used to try to get large amounts of money and not spend anything on skills, but every time I reached like 100m, I got hacked and lost everything. Now I just throw all my money in skills. No one can take that :D

99's. Therefore if you get hacked, you wont lose much cash :)

see, imo the best thing to do is for, say, herblore - just bot cleaning the herbs rather than making them. its a lot harder to do that and takes much longer but it doesnt cost like 50m.

i got 99 crafting by making gold bars into gold bracelets made 100gp per and did about 100k - 200k bars made around 75m - 100m and bought 85 construction for when i have much more than a few b.

i could buy skills, but i dont see the point. i also made cash alching using magic by first getting 99 fletching and alching the stuff i made, getting 2 99's and making a rather large profit.

it doesnt cost money unless it has to - prayer is the only skill that doesnt offer alternate methods (and summoning, in its own weird way)

barb fishing can get u 99 agility, str and fish - as soon as i can write my own scripts im gonna write a barb fisher, make it flawless and get me 99 agility and strength using it. slow xp, but it doesnt cost much AND it gives me 2 99's AND my fishing rank will be less than 10,000.

a 99 will always be a 99, the cash you have could be worthless if a year

The only people who stockpile gp are people who don't want to do the work skilling legit and people who haven't discovered bots ;)

Yep, there is always risk of hack even if you are sensible. A lot have voted cash in the poll though.

Skills, definitely - but I always want to keep a few 100M in reserve to PvM with.

Just a heads up, you can buy a account with 95 prayer (worth AT LEAST 50m+ because of bones) and other high level skills for a mere 40-80m. Think about it, I see people selling 99 ranged accounts (worth 20m ish due to red chins) ridiculously cheap.

It depends, some skills really aren't worth it. The ones that are are expensive, heres what I would invest in.

I like to have a good cash pile for merching, and especially if you're a main you'll need quite a bit of money for gear too.

All of my buyables are done so now I just need cash to finish off my nex sets. But I did get my buyables before everything else, so I guess buyables would be best to get first if you aren't maxed.

RSGP = IRL money. :)

skilling. because once your maxed you have all the time to profit. not to mention how much faster easier and more profit it is because your not limited to anything. get maxed then buy your flashy stuff or buy more exp for a higher ranking.

Here's what I think about this. Skills you can only get on one account, money can be easily transferred. I don't bot for cash on my main since I consider it time wasted. If I need cash, I can simply bot it on a throwaway account and just transfer it over.

Lol ever heard of opportunity cost? You are actually wasting a lot of money you could have made when you train skills x10 slower.

Skills > money

Money comes and goes, and is often taboo where as skills are much more "respected" in the game.
When I see a 138 with a Comp cape I think nice job, when I see a 138 with a party hat I think eh a month of work if that.. less if it wasn't legit.

Finally a place where there less gold farmers than real skillers that use the scripts for xp. For me, the cash part is only a benefit of using a script, as I would rather use a xp efficient one than one that makes a lot of gp.

money could get stolen, but the only way your skills can get stolen is by getting your whole acc stolen.

Good point.

I can't think of a single script that I use that brings in any substantial amount of money. Most of my money comes from things that I do legit.

Skills… way harder to get and money well that's just too easy to get now days.

i think i've always preferred skills

i prefer having 99 in a skill, cool items only come in handy after you have maxed out an account

Do the slow version of expensive skills in order to make gps? Like clean herbs for 99 herblore, get your own bones + hides for prayer and crafting, mine your own ores for smithing… DIY Do0o0od3!

Go for skills first, then for money. It's what I did ;)

I'm starting to feel RSGP might be the better option due to the IRL cash value :/
