Wtf is going on? They give goldfarmers free membership?

You're limited to what you can do on it.
You can only do so much goldfarming wise, there's a cap on how much flax and everything you can obtain within a day, to stop mass goldfarmers using throwaway accounts.
Its rather smart on Jagex's behalf, and I personally think it will introduce a lot more legit members too.

on topic: been around for a while, lost said something about limit on what you can do. do you mean the ge limit being massively decreased (to stop people making accounts to flip/merch on) on them accounts with trial or something else?

Useless, you can only keep 300 of each item in your bank during trial membership.

I think these 14 days free are little unuseful…

Actually my old lvl 3 skiller is now getting a popup if I want to activate my free 2 week membership :P Anyone know how long this offer is up, as I don't need to be a member to train fm :D

Mine was offered to me for like 5 days before I used it. I also had a lvl 3 f2p skiller. I did 1-90 RC in f2p on airs. Switched it to mems using it and went from 90-94 rc in 3-4 days in runespan.. so worth it

Let this die, but I do like it.. Make 14 days, and you can do soulwars.. i think 50 zeal at a time though.. I'm not sure… If somebody can correct me.. Make some SOULWARS prods ;)

You can still train P2P skills that goldfarmers need, like 65 thieving before buying mems for the accounts. That's what I did :|

This could be very useful in the Runespan minigame.
Getting 66 rc in Runespan should take only a couple of hourse.
From 66-99 in level 3 would take 2 weeks. The rest of the membership.

There are many easy ways to go around the trade limit.
From what i heard though they limit these accounts to a max of 300 member items, so u cant really do any efficient resource gathering.

This update was so fked up and glitched. My main gave my lvl 3 14k flax. tried to bank and work with drew 28 and when i got to 299 it wouldnt let me put more bowstrings in, then I tried withdrawl all flax and only gave me 300 noted. So i droped and relooted alot of 300x noted flax.

I personally don't think its good for Jagex/RS to provide these "14-day" trials so often. Of course, I love it being a botter.

Hopefully this won't start a famous-endless-ban-on-bots (pun intended) from the Runescape Players. For me, Im hooked way before members (Very young brain atm :)) and dreamt the day to pass the icy hills and level my so-wanted agility. I think 5-7 days would be much more efficient (not from a botting standview), but we have to view the flood of money/items multiplying from f2p players turning p2p players for 2 weeks (and im afraid mostly bots)

I always seem to seem games give away Pay-to-Win events or such towards their death, The first double exp scared me a bit. Runescape for some reason feels very fond/safe in my heart. Live long! Let keep this years rollin'!

Cap is 300 items max. Applies to some f2p items too if ur a trial member i think

So say I flip f2p items on my f2p main, could I just make one of these accounts and use 6 slots for the 14 days then make another account? Or is their a restriction on that kind of thing?

1)You can only have 300 of any item, with 50 items max on each GE slot iirc
2)You need to kill the trial guy at clan wars red portal to get your cash back

There is a banking limit so that kills gold farming unless you plan to increase hunter and bot chins in the limited 14 days :(

I've used half of the trial quite well on my pure. Did a lot quests and got many levels…

your best bet would be to get 99 rc :P

yes they do. theres a trade limit though :( gives you time to quest for xp before you lose in in my point of view!

Sometimes they offer you free 14 days two existing accounts, this happened to me so I mined 25k pure essence and when it went back to F2P I just traded over :)

Sometimes you get that 14 days on old accounts too. They want you to come back and pay again for them.

its always been a f2p account never had membership so cant seem why they would want to give me it

Since they know you play the game they want you to see how much better mems is.

On a side note, you have to complete the WHOLE tutorial before you can start playing and that took me close to 2 hours

No you don't, you just click the task menu and from the options, turn off the tutorial.

IMO, Jagex would probably be more successful in marketing if they offered free membership after, say, one week of active gameplay.
