It may just be in Canada (eh?), but the "free 14 day membership" doesn't work. I've tried numerous times, but it just doesn't work. They give me the authorization code and I just get the account, but no members access of any kind. I've never seen it work, so maybe somebody could enlighten me on that, but its kinda pissing me off. Is it country-restricted or just me?

I made a new account 2 days ago and got an email and it worked.

I live in Canada and it works perfectly fine for me. I live in the GTA if that matters. I've made over 40 trial accounts in the past 2 months. I believe I also made 3 miners today or yesterday and they were all trial members.

I live in the States, and its working for me. Are you clicking the link in the email that makes you get the 14 trial?

It works but the email must be a hotmail one. Tried with Mailinator, it fails.. tried with hotmail, it works 100% of the time and instantly.

You have to use Hotmail as Brandon stated. Then it'll work :p

Forgive me if I seem like I'm pointing out the obvious, but I actually had this problem as well. I had to make sure that I was being referred by someone. It doesn't work if you just try making a new account.

I had runescape accounts from yahoo mail, gmail, mail.com and so on. It is confusing me when you guys say it should be Hotmail.

I have only ever made 2 and for me, using hotmail always, one worked and one didnt. Havent tried it for a while.
Whats really weird is I have a 14 day trial on one of my main(better) accounts. No idea how I got it but I plan on using it soon. Any ideas on how I managed that :P

It's really random. I have had 5 trial accounts, 2 are still on it currently and they all used mailinator for registration. Some days when I make accs, they are all f2p. Sometimes every single one I make gets trial. I live in Europe if that helps.

Im pretty sure that you have to get the code and send it to Gudi in a PM, then he'll give the codes out to his subscribers, and such. I Think. not 100% sure.

Gmail works for me.

It is really buggy. Jagex is aware of this. It's been complained about a zillion times on their forums.

For the moment Hotmail is pretty much 100% working. Yahoo is hit or miss. Don't know about Gmail. I found MyTrashMail to work consistently (for me at least) where Yahoo fails for me.

I had not been member on my main for about 3 months, had not logged in for 16 days, then I logged in and it said that I were invited for a 2 weeks trial membership :)

Yea its unexpected to say the least but hey Ill take the 2 week trial on an account with 85 mining :)
Also got a random email today for my merching account saying he has a 2 week trial too.
Waiting for it on my main too now :P

lol I'm trying NOT to get the free trial. It won't let me bank more than 300 willows.. Can anyone tell me how to activate my account without becoming a member?

Be aware there are limitations: Cannot bank more than 300 of an item and cannot sell more than 50 of an item on GE.

Fine by me, Ill just mine for the first little while, sell, then go make some money or train skills that I dont want to train f2p. Need to figure out what I am going to do to make the most out of the trial before I activate it.

Any ideas on what to do with the trial? I was thinking doing some slayer and cb stuff. Possibly some farming but not to sure yet. Any ideas would be appreciated. I can screenie the stats of the better account if you would like.
Also, does anyone know if there is an expiry on when you have to use the trial by?

I believe you have to hav a legit email. i tried once with like [email]98798734@mailmetrash.com[/email] and it didn't work, but then I made a legit gmail and it worked.

I used my trial for wildy lootin :P

The only limitation I have on my main is that I cant withdraw more then 300 of a certain item, so I just put them on the GE, withdraw 300 again, cancel the GE sell offer, and then I got 600 of the item noted in my inventory :)
It took my fast-made script 30 minutes to withdraw 40k of an item though..

No you get it when you activate a new account. It's legit.

Alright thanks everyone. Somehow I just got a bunch of 14 day trials? My main has one now, any idea on how long I can say "No, I'm not ready" and level him up until he can be a beast? I only need about another week… but will it go away if I don't use it?

I have no idea. Ive had one on my one account for about 2 weeks now and its still there.

Yes unless you get lucky and get one on your main like a select few people including myself
