Person 1: I admire how you worded your details about x, I agree with how you described x. (then states a misconception about x)

Person 2: (instead of replying to Person 1, if they were right or wrong, Person 2 replies with a phrase that leads Person 1 to question their-self, leading them into the right answer on their own. In addition, no direct guidance or hints are given to Person 1, via wording / tone.)

I'm trying to think if there's a phrase/word for this interaction?
Anything helps, cheers.

I believe your looking for the phrase 'indirect guidance'?

Hmm I like what both of you said, and I see how what I described could be exactly that, however is there anything in-between an epiphany, indirect guidance, and perhaps wise words?

Maybe I just need some sleep and I'm making a stressful matter for myself lol

Could be insight as well.
