I've been fairly inactive, so I apologize if this has been brought up before. But I stumbled upon this, and found it very interesting. I wondered what you all thought and if you even have experience in the matter. The following pictures are progress reports from a RuneSpan script located at RareBot. They were both given by the same user, mr_loaf33.




If you didn't notice, look at the time running. When asked about how he achieved this feat, he replied,

Its not just Cheat Engine, Cheat engine is used to Pause The Token Hex & Another Applications and edits to the client are done. But i could upload a Guild but i have messaged the Dev's and no response. so i will not.

He's completely paranoid about getting in trouble for releasing the guide, but I'm almost glad he didn't post it for it to be completely leeched and leaked to everyone. At the same time, this has really gotten me curious, and is something I'll definitely spend a little time looking into. Has anyone else ever heard of using a method like this?

He said that the paint glitched. But I'm inclined to believe him. You can do some crazy things messing with hex values in the RuneScape client. It wouldn't surprise me if this was possible, it just wasn't something I had considered before.

EDIT: For example, there was a tutorial a while back on how to do stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Ua44rydoWrw#t=155s Which involved editting the hex values in the client to allow you to use those commands.

Ah that explains it.

Mm I would love this to be released in a guide or somehow. Nice find.
