Ok so I'm practically a proffessional leecher. By that I mean I just started leeching like a few days ago, and I've grown attached to this community already. Based on a sticky I read in about a section dedicated to the leechers so they can grow and stuff, I've decided to involve myself into scripting and freepascal. I only have a couple questions before I start my venture.

If I have no prior education to coding, will it be difficult to pick up? I'm a quick learner, fresh highschool graduate (aren't I cool?…), and can be dedicated to things I enjoy.

What can freePascal be used on aside from scripting SRL? If I were to grow bored of runescape (which happened four years ago but I'm back for some reason (it's not even that fun of a game but it has addiction)), what else could I use freePascal for?

What is a stats account? I already googled SRL stats account, but I could really find much except how to put it in your script.

What are the honest ban rates if I use most of these scripts for maybe 5 hours a day with an additional 3 hours of my own gameplay. (on slower than optimum settings).

Do you think in this lifetime, we will have the technology to nearly completely combat the aging process and live for countless times longer than natural causes limited us? My ultimate goal is to achieve immortality, and while this may sound farfetched, I see the exponential technological advancement yielding the means we need to freeze age. It's my dream to be apart of it. I used to be a strong Christian, but it fell apart after I became quite a bit more philosphical and critical.

So yeah, I'm new to the forum and I hope I can be accepted and that also this thread not die in two days. =)

I joined SRL a few years ago without any knowledge of coding or what it entailed, and it really isn't that difficult. If you read over a few guides in Tutorial Island you should be going in no time.

To be honest, I'm not sure. What I am sure of though is that it does actually come in handy. I was writing a patch for COD MW2 a couple of years back and, even though it was a totally different language, what I'd learned here was quite helpful.

Stats are used to record how long each script has been used, how long one user has botted for, and what they've done/earned from it. Check out http://stats.villavu.com/

Very low. Bot sensibly (set the script to take breaks/world swap/use trusted scripts) and you'll be fine.

No.

Well seeing as though Rich answered your questions…

Welcome to SRL! If you need any help, FAQ is the first place you should look :)

Also, I don't believe in immortality. Though I do not believe it is possible to 'freeze age', either way it will not stop death from natural causes. How many times have we seen people just die? No illness or anything, they just die. It is because their time has come and everyone will , at some point, die.

You can write a lot in freepascal but not many ppl use it anymore. I had this argument with someone before I just don't remember who but he linked me to a google api written in it. Other than Simba well Iunno what it can be used for but I'm sure u can find a use I mean it is a programming language and it does get you started and teach the basics and logic. From there you can move onto a language of your preference I guess.

The title actually works. Goodluck scripting! :D

Haha thanks for the replies and information =)

I can not be deterred from chasing life to its reaches, because without that, I have nothing else to hold onto. A personal belief of mine is that after death there is of course nothingness, but less than that. And because I can't wrap my mind about not thinking at all, I am driven to always live and always think. I believe that every death can be explained, though we may not know how to explain everything yet. My greatest evidence is exponential technological growth. I also hold true that my dream could just be frivolous and beyond a good diet and healthy patterns, nothing can be done to extend a humans life to ample times its norm. Still, I will chase it, for it is the only career I could think of to hold my passion. Unless women were a career ;) haha

hello!
if ya wanna get technical, living forever is cancer..
you have things in your cells called telomeres and when the cells divide the telomeres get shorter and shorter. this is why you die of old age. The cells in your heart just dont have the capacity to divide and replace themselves anymore (which is why people who die of old age generally dont donate organs!!).

now these telomeres can be resynthesized by the use of enzymes. BUT these enzymes are not functioning properly and are not even supposed to be in the body anymore but for some reason they just are. so in Cancer where say a tumor is growing, the telomeres of the cells are being rebuilt each time the cell divides. this is why in school you are explained that cancer is just cell division out of control. because the telomeres are relengthened the cells just divide and divide.

if there was some way of controlling these enzymes that resynthesize telomeres, then yes technically immortality would be possible. but i nor any other person in the field i would say sees a way in which you can defonitly control a biological organism let alone an enzyme so no it probably will never happen.. :L

what an essay!

Yeah I read the theory of telomeres causing aging. There's also a theory about hydrogen or oxygen molecules that aren't attached to anything that run straight through your body. It was never explained how this causes death but whatevs. There are different theories out there. I'm sure with enough science, humans will find it. The question I ask myself is will I be alive to see it? It'd be so much easier to be religious haha.
