The Evolution of Combat: Beta Sign-Up

As announced last week, one of the most eagerly anticipated and frequently requested updates will be launching in RuneScape this summer. The Evolution of Combat project will see the biggest change to any system in RuneScape’s history and, as if that wasn’t exciting enough, RuneScape members will also be able to apply to take part in our first ever limited access closed beta.
All those wishing to apply for the beta and gain exclusive access to the update before everyone else will be able to sign up for the chance to take part from the 1st June. Beta players will not only be the first to get to grips with the new combat mechanics but will also have the unique opportunity to help test and shape the dynamics of the update ahead of its full release later this year.
By taking part in the beta and showing us your best use of swordplay, eagle-eyed archer’s tricks and esoteric wizard’s gambits, you’ll be working with us to create a battle system that’s fluid, interactive, and well and truly built for you. Over the coming weeks we will be revealing some of the incredible new features to whet your appetite, but remember to sign up on the 1st June to ensure you don’t miss out on the chance to take part.
Full details of how to register for the beta along with some tantalising teasers will be announced on www.runescape.com. The first batch of beta testers will be able to enter the game on the 26th June with all members gaining access shortly after. All members interested in taking part will be granted beta access before the full release, but we encourage you to register as early as possible to be in with a chance of being among the first to experience the update.
The closed beta will only be open to RuneScape members, so if you want to be in with a chance of experiencing the new combat system, be sure to sign up for RuneScape membership before the 1st June.

im not gonna sign up because most likely the way they will release has nothing to do with the beta you tried and i dont want to get confused lol

I'm im the process of training a F2P PKer (since my main got hacked for ~100m and my membs expired before I could get any of it back–sad day), so I'm wondering how the combat change will affect PvP.

If they make it anything like Dragon Age 1's system, I'll be ok with it. I know Jagex doesn't have a stellar track record lately, but if this is as good as they're hyping it to be I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Hope they rework range and balance it as it's my favorite type of combat :D

This combat update will change the game :P I hope that it changes the game for wel hehe cause they can ruin the game with this too.

Im excitied to see how the combat evolution is, i havent noticed a change since i have started playing almost 7 years ago haha. I hope this brings a nice change of pace

I just signed up for it, only get to know whether u are selected on 26 June though.
Is it going to be like they will put up a server that contains the new combat system update? So u can still play normal RS while on beta? Like how u can access RSC anytime.

I had a ticket in my inventory a Beta invite thing but I didn't want to accept it in case the Waterfiend bot stopped working, I just checked my inventory and its gone Q_Q!

you can still sign up directly at the rs website, all the ticket does is redirect u to the site. Also i believe it wont interfere with the actual RS, u just play at a new server with a test account jagex provide maybe.

I got an invite on a trial member account. I wonder if they'd still honor the beta invite once the account goes F2P?

Signed myself up. Needed' to cash up on some RS history heh'. Looks really grand. Esepcailly if the "Biggest Update" popping out at me!
