Updating scripts in apps

I was just reading through some recent apps, and noticed that once people had given advice on what to do and how the applicant could improve their script, the applicant updated their script which to me seems a bit wrong. The apps are supposed to demonstrate the skill of the applicant, but if we post how to improve and examples of improved code and the applicant changes the original post, then Members who look at the script at a later day won't see what the applicant can actually do. My belief is that the applicants shouldn't be able to change their scripts mid-app because of this. Thoughts?

So what's the difference between this or applying later with the modified script? Just two weeks, right?

Well to be honest, I think it's perfectly fair.
They're learning, and rectifying their mistakes :p

Love the idea, but it's not possible.

What happens when they post the link to their script rather than put it in Simba tags? We all have to download it to view the script which is what we don't want.

This.
Would be really nice, since we should see what they are capable of scripting on their own.

The application does state that the applicant is to put their script in tags within the application. If we were to enforce that, it would be possible to keep the application scripts from being modified.

No it doesn't, it simple states 'post your script(s) here', when I applied I didn't even know I was posting in Simba tags, hence I posted a link.

However if we could enforce it then yes, it would work.

You can still edit your application post, and therefore the Simba tags content.

In, congratulations.

As for editing the scripts mid-application, I think that's completely acceptable and even desirable. It shows activity and willingness to learn and listen to advice, and a proactive attitude.
