Also, this is a bugfix update, so calm down.

There will be a system update in approximately one hour's time. This will be to fix issues where cutscenes are causing players to disconnect from the game, make the email validation success screen correctly appear for players who register their email, and fix the Friends tab in the lobby. We've also added an option on the email validation cape when worn to enable the player title, and fixed some animation issues with the cape on male characters.

Yeah was testing a script and saw the system update notification… :/ Probably something with Runespan or the 'bonfire' events

Problem is, I didn't really 'see' that newspost. Edited the top post to include the appropriate details.

Do you guys think it would be cool if the email validation had a cool emote just like the skillcape. What about a hood along with the cape. It would be something like: My Account Security level is 99. lol.

for crying out loud, getting a freaking cape just because you registered an email, that like the stupidest thing ive seen

Jagex wants the emails for two reason:
1) You don't get to sell the acc easily,
2) They sell the email lists to sites for proft.

If you don't believe #2, make a fresh email and register to RS with it and validate. You will receive spam before the RS confirmation mail arrives.

They just nerfed cactus seed rewards from MA btw. 919 Cactus seeds. Thanks.

This is why many people use throwaway emails. I still do, so GF Jagex.
