Jagex will never understand the concept that Runescape could never be like World of Warcraft.. Let it go Jagex you're just making the game worse…anyways that is my opinion and most people I know who play RS and WOW

I personally believe it's been slowly ruined with all of these updates, good old days were before the new CEO back when there were only a few updates a year.

mod mark said ALL of armor with have an "hp ripple effect" much like torva,pernix,virtus etc…better armor = more hp im assuming, ad the best weapons in the game will be in the new bh, even though they will only be able to be used there, regardlessthe gme is going to change ALOT, for better or worse,

Interesting.. Well, everything is better than the current fighting animations imo. (Mostly looking at melee and ranged, since mage got 'kinda' updated a while ago)

The combat in Runescape is very clearly in need of an update.

The problem is that Jagex tends to take good ideas and make them bad.

The news combat is outlined in a thread at RSOF. It's gonna be that every piece of clothing will give you extra hp, and only weapons will give attack bonus. They are aiming to make pures useless. Rate of hits will increase with level, and mage will get higher hits with higher mage lvl.
They are also going to make it that it's impossible for a meleer to beat a mage and such, in line with the combat triangle.

I'm really not looking forward to a new combat system, the old one has done me fine for years :/

Agreed, the combat system on RS should go untouched in my opinion, although there have been small updates, a completely new system would completely change the game.

Everytime I try to play RS instead of botting I get scared off by something big that has changed, for example alot of new icons for items in my bank that I have no idea what they are anymore. I've got a feeling that this is going to be one of them.

If the new combat system involves attack buildup (as in every consecutive hit notches up a bar for a big hit) then I will sell everything in my bank related to fighting. I went through Final Fantasy like that- I'm not going through Runescape that way as well (although there are no controllers to smash…)
