Ahh I love Timer anyway.. Nice guy, pretty smart. I have him on MSN. I'm not going to say he's lying because I'd be unfair. Only SOME WERE like that towards him. Zytex is nice, Freddy is nice though I don't see him around much anymore, Ben is nice to me, and Wanted/Icefire is nice though I don't seem him anymore either, Markus is nice. Yeah yeah I may have missed a few names, don't hold me to it. Just mentioning some that welcomed me and argued at the same time with me.

IIRC Timer got in an argument with the staff here and got banned then came back and got banned again or something.. Got my opinions on what was right and wrong.. I say just let it be and don't bother getting involved.

A post like this will get everyone arguing who was right and wrong.. I wouldn't flame Simba though. People here are pretty nice. It's as chill of a forum as you can get. We rarely have flame wars. You're pretty free around here I guess.

Idk, timer is a young kid as far as I know, he's only 15.

But truly, who is anyone to flame a working bot when they are the main coder of a not-working bot?

Simba is a long term project in my eyes, it also teaches people a lot. Reflection works 1/3 days of the week and is so easy to code you don't really gain any experience.

Found the thread btw,

That needs fixing.. LOL I thought the same thing back then as well. It's the mainpage/Satelite layout. The threads look nothing like that. And Wizzup is already working on a Scripts Manager plugin or something that will make things easier. Just reading why they don't like Simba should only help improve it I guess.

Who cares? It's Timer. This is just him being weak and showing his frustration.

Timer has been banned (permanently) several times on this forum for purposely starting flame wars over and over. He has been very offensive in general and was rarely helpful - in contrary to what some might state about him, he's been a very unlikable person around here. Not only that, but he has been spreading lies for years, trying to get people angry with me and others.

It's only natural he makes this kind of posts; he's pathetic and knows no better way to direct his rage and anger. He's probably incapable of a more mature standpoint. I'm happy he's no longer here and doesn't represent this community.

Perhaps he's just upset that we're an ever so strong and close community that he used to be part of. :)

If you really must know…
Their staff are corrupt and jackasses, they act nice until they brain wash you.
Simba is a buggy, horrible replacement to SCAR, which made SRL possible.
SRL doesn't credit their origins, such as SCAR, which to date, is way better than Simba.

Honestly I have been there for more than half a year (Joined in November) Have yet to see one point of "brain washing" or "jackassness", I am greeted daily with great communication and friendliness. The staff has been nothing but helpful, a bit old fashioned but I believe that is exactly what the RS community needs at this point take us back to the roots of our success wanting what is BEST for the community, not money.
Simba is buggy? Simba can be used for more than RS, the only "Bugs" I see are in actual scripts where it is not Simba's fault but rather the Scripter's fault. (I run Simba for days at a time, so I can't imagine it is Simba) Also Everything I mean EVERYTHING is a work in progress, expect it to improve over time .
Simba does credit SCAR, it states where it came from sure not in every nook and cranny but does that really matter? As long as the general public knows where its roots are from, crediting them on every corner is not necessarily especially if anything past a certain point of time is completely unrelated to SCAR.

Let them wallow in their stupidity.

What really does this bring to the conversation at hand; shows the insecurity of some of the members of PB. This is one of the reasons I moved to SRL But don't lose hope, I know there is still a decent member base in PB who can spit value into a conversation (There are a few on this thread!) .
——
On an ending note, setting Simba up is easy. If you really need help SRL members (Like myself, are more than happy to help.)
Not trying to be cocky but just to warrant I was someone of a little importance I was an official middle man here at PB, back when we had Mybb forums (and an actual rank), and after that I was Moderator for a short period of time (elected, I wrote some essays/questions/etc.). I was also an author on rsbots.net, Moderator on Tip.it (Retired), and last but not least SRL member in SRL.

Best of luck PB , I know this community is a solid one and has a very good base I mean no disrespect I am just trying to say things as I see them.

I definitely do not. Depends what your actually using Simba for. Lets say we have frost drag scripts that run 24/7.. Lets say you sell paid scripts on other sites and take the money and buy gold.. Lets say your script merchants and buys and sells on GE and gets a ton..

That would be the explanations.

I don't believe timer is this stupid enough to say something like this. Because only the current jagex is low enough to spread bs like this to its players… Unfortunately most of their legitimate players (the 30-50% of their active users) do believe it… Then again they are either 14 years old and under or they don't posses the brain to realize that the statement couldn't be further from the truth.

This is off-topic from the OP, but it's related to Gripp's post:

It's because villavu/SRL is a screen scraper that doesn't pose a threat to Jagex's game because it is a color bot.

I like to believe we're not a threat to Jagex, but I doubt they'll see it the same way. It used to be SRL really was blended so well into the RS world we were invisible. I don't believe Jagex took much notice to us (nor RiD) because of comparison between us the much-popular Java bots (RSBot, RSBuddy, EpicBot, RareBot); as well as Aryan fitting into the same category (for those of you who go back that far).

You gotta look at it from their point of view, which just happens to be profit. An over flow of bots means few legit players, state it however you want that bots means money for Jagex, in the long run this drives away real (and potentially new) players. So, bot nuking & banning are priority now, and because Jagex know it'll take a blow to their income (temporarily) they'd using any methods they can to draw in more profit.

Now that players know what can be done with color-finding & simple logic, they're given an alternative to their previous Java bots. As a result Jagex has taken much more interest in us. Of course they'll label screen-scrapers has "buggy and rubish"; they know it won't be an easy task to stop something that reads a game visually like a human, and acts upon it in the same manner. They'll do whatever they can to convince people it's steer away from it.

Because in the end all they can hope to accomplish is slow down our usage & user-base, but they won't stop us. They know this, they just don't want you to know it.

Sorry for the off-topic post. :p Just felt like elaborating on how we do pose a threat to Jagex.

How the fuck would you know if I can write an injection/reflection bot?, and if I couldn't we are talking about Timer.

I know because of the amount of crap you are talking..

Inject has to inject code into the client to get what it wants.. What makes you think that is more safe than reflection you moron.
Injection is better in speed but your trying to tell me detection? Pft go read a programming tutorial.

Secondly. Timer isn't God.. He isn't the best programmer. Like I said, back your words up and let him know I'll take up a C++ challenge against him anyday. Java I know I may lose but I won't bet on it.

Last but not least. what part of colour bot don't u understand? The algorithms that go into a colour bot is far more complexed than that which goes into an injection bot that feeds you all the data you need. Scripting in colour is far more complexed than it is for Reflection and Injection. All your shitty API's are there for you already. Your not inventing anything. Just sucking off another guy's work.

Colour vs Injection. I might as well go over there too and ask "Why the F does RSBot not have bitmap Finding" "I don't see the shitty devs over there with BitmapFinding"

"Where is my TPA's"..

Geez what a moron. Oh and I read IceFire's post. It was pretty accurate for his situation. Anyway you need to read my first post. Timer is a good guy but he's definitely not the best. 1: Jagex already released cluster flutter. The next bot nuke is called optimus.
Also when they released cluster flutter, all the other bots ( except for Rid, scar and simba) bend over in seconds.
This is a recording of simba working literally minutes after jagex released cluster flutter.

From: iCURiP

3: If you have brain, you just have to think about it. By using color, simba is controlling runescape as any human do and without modifying it in any way.

If you are using injection. You are SENDING PACKETS to the rs client and read the value afterwards. Jagex can detect this, and done it before to RSBOTS. When there was just massive ban hammers back in 2008-2009 and people were leaving that place asap. At the moment, they just can't afford to lose any more membership money, which is why they are leaving yall behind.

If you aren't using your brain thus doesn't believe what I am saying. Here is a clip of a defcon talk about game hacking and botting techniques.

Look at 14:50

*The speaker is a highly experienced game security profession and has been working in the industry before the existence of runescape.*

From: iCURiP

4: Hurray! The first semi accurate post..

While injection can be more accurate and powerful than reflection, it is still a lot easier to detect. Thus making it the most dangerous option of them all.

From: iCURiP

The fact still stands that Timer wrote it, I don't see any of the so called programmers here getting even close to implementing "inflection"

5: Am pretty sure powerbot doesn't use reflection anymore. Which is what inflection means: injection + reflection.
Also, is it even up?

Communities like RSBOTS, RSBUDDY, Powerbot, epic bot, runedream are all profit driven. They see their money more than their community. Which is why when the bot is gone, the community went dead.

Villavu is a open source community where we share the interest in scripting color based bots for fun and pleasure. Simba is a powerful compiler that has some wonder features and can be used in 1 TRILLIONG More ways than other java bots.

We won't spam you on inbox. Because its not worth our time, effort and we don't want to create an account on a community that might try to hack its users. But you may feel free to go back to them. Because if you stay here with that altitude, you'll be laughed at and might even be banned.

Cheers :)

Seems like (and I dont know you so I will take your word at face value for the moment) since you care so much for YOUR community that THAT should be your top priority…..spending even ONE more post over here would definitely force you to lose credibility as far as your sincere love for your botting platform.

If your challenge is still standing by the time these flame wars are done, you can PM me and I'll be sure to take it up with him on MSN.

You will most definitely lose..
You couldn't out program dang nor me.

Wizzup?

Make an injection bot or fuck off, he is a thousand times better a programmer than anyone on this website, as soon as Jagex released cluster flutterer you all gave up..

I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes, listening to this beautiful song and I can't find the words to explain to you how wrong and misguided you are. I don't think I'll even try to explain what a programmer really is about and how it's not about cracking a client.

You should however know that all this client hacking started with a few of our members here (and on mitb), including BenLand100, who created the foundation for client hacking as you know it today. Speljohan and others picked it up; what's left right now are just a few pathetic groups still building on this and trying to reap whatever money they can.

You won't find any of the grand (if we can say there are grand programmers in RS cheating) programmers at powerbot; you'll find them here and on MITB.

Any further crap by you will result in a ban.

Locked.

@Brandon, just let them praise Timer. Hahaha.
