SRL Archive - Who Are You ? Who ? Who ?

Hello SRL! My name is Vlad. I have heard many great things about this community so I decided to join it. :D I plan on learning to script and -hopefully- becoming extremely good at it. I already have a bit of background knowledge in VB and C++. I used to play Runescape ages ago. I tried starting up again but it's extremely boring now. I don't know how I managed to play it for years before. :O I've never gotten a 99 before but hopefully with the ability to make scripts to do it for me I will achieve a 99 in my lifetime. (Maybe even more than 1. :D) I like watching TV and reading in my spare time as well as playing games although playing games has begun to bore me greatly. :S I'm going to set up my Simba now. :) Thanks for reading and hello everyone.

lol it took me 6 years before i got my first 99 :) now im at 7. slow and steady wins the race my friend. hope you enjoy your stay

Haha, I don't know either how I was able to play that game ages ago, although it was not much I played back then. Highest skill 40 ftw.

Hehehe I think my highest back then was like 72 mining. I was so excited that I could mine addy only to find that it was impossible to find anywhere because people always took it. :(

I've already learned a bit about Pascal and creating certain outputs. Pascal is a lot like VB, just not object-oriented.

You can create OOP behavior with pascal… Or do you mean pascalscript?

Yes, PascalScript is what I meant. :3 I was under the assumption the language was called Pascal since that's what many people around here call it.

C++ was pretty difficult to learn for me. I used this book called "Learn C++ In 24 Hours". However, I believe learning off of YouTube makes it a lot easier than reading. It all comes down to your learning style and how you like to learn. You can ask me questions if you'd like, but it's not my best language anymore.

I think I will buy a book which will teach me. C should be hard to learn, that´s what I will try to start with next year. ;)
