Hi,

First of all, I just startet using Bots.
I read a lot in this Forum, but I didn't find a solution for my Problem.
I try to install Simba on a Linux VPS (from vpsinfinity)
After some tries I got Simba and Java installed.
If I start a script, Smart popup but it only shows a Black Screen.
I used this Guide for installing Simba and Java.

If I write about:config in my firefox browser it shows me that no plugins are installed (Runescape can't load in Browser).
Could that be the problem?

PS: I hope you understand everything, because I'm from Germany.

You don't have enough memory to play the game. Your VPS provider is garbage, or they are overselling - probably both.

How I did it (if other have that problems too):
I deleted the old OS (CentOs5) and installed Ubuntu 32mbit (10.04).
Then I installed Wine with that command:

sudo apt-get install wine

Then I downloaded Simba and Java to my Desktop.
I type in the Terminal

cd /root/Desktop
chmod a+x SimbaInstaller.exe
chmod a+x Java-(version)-windows-i586.exe

Now I could install Java and Simba with a simple doubleclick.
After both programs are installed, I used this Guide to setup Simba:

now everything works fine.
I hope that this little guide could help if somebody got the same Problem.

All providers oversell.

I'm having the same problem on CentOS atm but I have successfully done it before with the same operating system… Runescape worked on windows firefox through wine but not on smart through wine.

Should I try changing to ubuntu and how would I do that? Contacting the vps provider?

And yeah I have the same error too although I have 2gb dedicated ram and the vps cost almost 40$/Month.

Can older versions of SMART be downloaded anywhere because I remember successfully running it earlier this year.

We run Xen and all memory is dedicated and isolated for each package on our servers, we absolutely do not oversell and pride ourselves in being the top Runescape VPS provider.

We actually just started offering SIMBA support officially the other day and haven't had any complaints yet :) The few I had beta test prior had no issues either. We switched over to Ubuntu from CentOS.
