LMFAO guys, I just realised how jealous some people are..
The amount of - rep I got on this thread is ridiculous, and to spite them, I WILL release the script for free.
But, WITH banking, AND cannon support.
Get gamed frost dragon bones. Close thread.

Well seeing as another member here is being a total copycat and scripting one also (:p), I decided I needed to test it before releasing it.

What are your thoughts on me releasing a free version of the FDK?

I still have an old copy on my school computer, which doesn't involve banking however.

Before Anyone starts raging at me about prices, here's how its gonna go down -

Said member will 'release' for X amount.
I'll release for X - Y amount.
Said member will then release for (X - y) - Z amount.
It'll keep going like that until virtually everyone can afford it, thus leading to RSBuddy-esque prices.

But anywysz, this was an absolute pain typing out on a Playbook so lmk what your thoughts are… I'd rather spare myself the headache of dealing with people wanting X feature in there.

Ah that's a hard one, but if you were going to release best bet is to chop the script up like the public avansie that used to be in the fighting public section.

Sounds nice! You should put some anti leech in there too, just to be sure your only dealing with the actual scripters

As the script writer, the choice is completely up to you. Do what you think is right. If my opinion was desired, I'd vote No.

Release with some awesome Anti-Leech, scripters can solve it, leeches can't.

On the other hand, maybe implement some kind of "Request" thing where whoever would want to use it would have to fill out an "application" of sorts and only those you deem "worthy" would be able to use it. On the downside, you'd probably waste a lot of time going through those applications and people would probably spam/beg for the script. There really aren't many positives to releasing the script (from my point of view).

I would say chop it or disassemble and remove parts that people will need to add like declare players or something. Or just one strong antileech

Sounds like an impressive job on your part even though i can't do FD cuz of my dung level butchering the script is probably the way to go not an anti leech.

Yeah, An Anti Leech would work… However it would need to be really tedious like adding the whole banking and traveling back procedure.

Go for it. But if you release it free to the public, I'd recommend only excluding the mainloop. Don't go crazy anti-leeching it.

I don't have dung level for this but I would definitely but it if I did. The remove the banking seems like a great idea since you have to be able to script to add banking to it

removing banking is too easy tbh, do that + remove mainloop

I would not drop it for free as you put lots of time into it. Of course there will be no banking support but in my opinion you should not release it for free. It is definietly a premium script as it could make 2m/h in some servers (yes botted 2m/h! ;) ). Just let it test by 10 people (or how much you think you need for testing) you trust. Think about the new computer you want to buy :)

Here's how you should do it:

Make thread. Get it locked immediately. Have all the features etc. on the thread, but ask for people to PM you for the script. This way, you'll be able to hand it over to "nice" people only.(the qualifications for nice are solely up to you)
Even when PM'ing it, release it w/o bank if you want and have heavy anti leech on it.

The lock will make it so that no one can ask about the anti leech. The bad part is that your PM box will be full all the time.

If you decide to release it for free, just remove the mainloop. Would be the best solution I'd say. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with my GOP script once it's done. Might be able to find some interesting options in this thread.

In my opinion, I would heavily anti leech it and/or do the whole send it to certain people thing only because it gives people the opportunity to learn and try to fix problems while at the same time the people who already contribute in their own way can be benefited by just receiving the script via pm. I cannot use the script as I am f2p only but would love to see the coding just to take a look. I know its weird and all but I like to do that sort of thing (help people with coding but not actually make a script yet myself because I am too lazy). From my perspective, that is what you should do. It really comes down to how you feel about it in the end. Good luck with your decision! Im sure whatever you choose will be supported by people (well most people) :)

since script selling isn't allowed here I don't think you have any option to not release it for free if you are intent on releasing it.

Not at all, i'm just saying that Mat's been using SRL to make money while not giving anything in return.
His last script was released on the 28th of December…

I also chose not to release Astrals for the same reason.
Because the trustworthy members already have the scripts, (~Feb).
Lately, how should I say it…
The members rank has been 'infiltrated' you could say, with unworthy people.

I don't see the point going though the hassle to get members if there just going to leak scripts, Getting members shouldn't even be 100% about getting the member scripts, more as in being more part of the community. At least that's my view.

I had them release but removed them All, I don't want to really release any script as they all money making. I don't have any plans for xp gaining really.
I need idea's as I'm getting board of gp making.
I have a few Scripts that I have that I don't see I need so I may release them to public.
And I may Revamp a Law runner for public use, with pouches etc.
as I love Rcing :P(It'll be anti leached ofc.) Might also I find it shit about your loss tho, I Don't know what I'll do if I lost my data and my Laptop and Tower. All my scripts are on one pc and if they go I have nothing.
Another reason I don't like people using my methods ino its said, but I don't like it that anyone can take your stuff and dish it out.(Maybe I have anxiety). I also Have OCD ..

You talk as if you've been here forever, when you're fairly new yourselves. I call bs on the reselling of member scripts. If that was being done, people would of been banned because of it.

Leaking occurs very rarely, and doesn't take place very often, as Sin and Mat make it out to believe.

Thanks for the words of wisdom Kyle. I was thinking that it was a bit of an exaggeration, just unfortunate because they were the victims (Mat's case I am aware of).

As for my words of wisdom, this is a community in itself. We cant expect everyone to be little angels about every little thing. If you feel like there are trust issues then keep things to yourself. If not then do what you will. Just know that there are people in this community that appreciate everything you have done and would love to see more.

Honestly sin, I respect you but releasing this just to the general public might cause more problems than good.

If you do release it the public, please please release it in parts (scrambled) and have the members assemble it. (Much like the range guilder, simple for anyone who puts in at least an hour of learning)

I could test this for you if for even if you want to make it members+. I have maxed combat stats, turm, ovl, yak etc. I primarily bot just for getting comp cape, so I probably wouldn't use it too often after its flawless. Just offering cause not too many have volunteered to test.

If you want serious antileech why not just release it to members?
That being said I'd love you if you did release it to all of us.

The requirements are pretty high. RSBuddy used to have a free FDK killer - nothing bad happened to the economy. It's your call, Sin. :) I have 90+ Dun but I'm a ranged tank; they apparently "nerfed" ranged damage to Frosts.

lol how did nothing bad happen? frosties were over 20k and just before nuke they were like 13-14k. huge diffrence. woulda costed 200m for pray at my lvl. when things evened out after nuke cost me nearly double.

but its your call sin, release it with some heavy anti leech, let some people you trust not to leek test it. im 56 dung so im far from frosties. but you might make some people happy.

Cheaper bones = more people training prayer. Some days some rich guys will come along and buy 10k+ Frost Bones for 5% above average price. What I'm trying to say is, it will balance itself out.

Uh….. So if that was right frost bones would have stayed at 20k when rsbuddy had there free fdk's out but did they…..? No.

It doesn't really matter anymore to be honest. Frosts make approx. 1.5m an hour, if I were to buy RSGP that's about a dollar an hour. In the end we all lose - even if the script isn't released and Frost Dragon Bones stay at 20k.

I do agree with this. Let's just keep the decision-making simple here: you made the script, therefore it's your call whether it gets posted publicly or not. One of the most stupid decisions is to rely on other people's suggestions to determine what happens to your script.

Well…I've never been there since that stupid anti-bot update. Still don't know how to kill them nowadays.
Now that I'm busy with gaining some other levels, I wont be looking at gaining money with frost Dragons, that soon!
But…releasing it for free would have their pros and cons:

pros: Everyone wants it, to make some money, get charms, effigies, rare drops and all that.

cons: Many guys using the script, the place will become unstable, prices will drop ( Good for who wants to get 99 prayer ! ), and frosts will be another money-making method that dies within a few weeks ( again ).

So…Think wisely, have in consideration the time you took to create this script, and then giving it away for free.

If I were you, I would use the script the max I could, and then release it for a price/free.

Those were my thoughts.

It's like you were showing off, sorry but it's true, the work you do.

We are a helping community, and while we do love you doing scripts, I just had to say my opinion because it seemed no one else really had the guts to say it.

You had a similar thread to this one, I think it was about "Should I create this script?", which is totally acceptable in my opinion, if it was in script requests section (don't remember if it was).

Keep doing your scripts, people seem to love them. But try to make your releasing decisions without consulting others publicly.

And as my discussion was off-topic to start with, I'm gonna leave it at this post and hope you get my point. If I was harsh, well, I had to be. I have no hard feelings for you nor to your scripts, just a friendly advice.

EDIT: And also one last thing, release your scripts for free, don't be greedy, if its a script that could crash prices, then perhaps sell it, but isn't script selling forbidden on SRL anyway?

I completely agree. And I'm sick of seeing great scripts get chopped all up for the sake of anti-leech. Also, [Sin] you re-enabled your reputation now that the derep flood slowed down -.- …

Honestly, SRL Was never a IRL Money Making Based Community, but then again a very demanding script like this might hurt RS Eco. So Maybe, it's like a tough decision 60/40 Free IMO.

So, I'm new to SRL and me and my brother have been working together trying to learn to script, correcting eachothers mistakes. It's great having someone to learn with if I might add.

But in my time of learning not only would I not be able write a script as you are, but I didn't even see it as possible. This is extremely impressive and I look forward to buying it if you put it up for sale not only to use it, but to support you and all of the work you have put into it.

I am overly impressed :P keep up the good work Sin and maybe someday these sort of things will become possible in my eyes :D

no most kids here dont desirve a free fdk if they want one they can go pb, a one thing that wont ruin the bones eco is make it privet / or selling it betwen 10-20 ppl (who u think trusted) tops with a limit not to run more than 1 account with the script if possible like with the old ub3r fighter that scar had .. just my 2 cents

i think you should release it paid somewhere. if YOU have put so much effort into it, you deserve a little more then the entire botting worlds gratification. I hear you are saving for a new computer. i suggest you release it with a mobile payment option such as onebip because that way it is easier for a lot of people to buy it and you can still profit off it. However,if you dont wish to head in that direction you could always offer it to the community with a donation option because, sure everyone wants it free, who wouldnt, but you have put time and effort into it and you deserve the benefits that selling it somewhere else would reap. If you do want the profits but dont want to release it hear due to the fact it is illegal to buy scripts on this forum. i suggest moving over to another community temporarily like powerbot or epicbot so you can profit and still be legal on this forum. However, that all depends on how much you wish to stay only associated with simba and not other bots such as epicbot or powerbot. good luck S1N and i would personally like to see it free or with a mobile payment option. congratulations on succeeding on the creation of a FDK (Frost Dragon Killer) script and i look forward to seeing it on the forums however the method may be in obtaining it.

As much as I would like to see the bones drop even more. I really woudn't release this, even not in members. Giving something to the community is good but this is just pure evil. I really hated how frost dragons used to be when reflection was up, really a game ruiner.

It is Sin's decision as to whether or not he wants to update his script. You have no right to call him 'rude' for telling you to update it yourself.

This community is about learning, so technically, he's telling you to learn and if you're saying that Sin telling you to learn scripting is 'childish', then there is something seriously wrong with your attitude…

And you don't have to be an SRL Member to read tutorials on scripting. Tutorial Island is for everyone to read and learn from so you have no excuse saying that not being an SRL Member is stopping you from learning.

Well seeing as another member here is being a total copycat and scripting one also (:p), I decided I needed to test it before releasing it.

What are your thoughts on me releasing a free version of the FDK?

I still have an old copy on my school computer, which doesn't involve banking however.

Before Anyone starts raging at me about prices, here's how its gonna go down -

Said member will 'release' for X amount.
I'll release for X - Y amount.
Said member will then release for (X - y) - Z amount.
It'll keep going like that until virtually everyone can afford it, thus leading to RSBuddy-esque prices.

But anywysz, this was an absolute pain typing out on a Playbook so lmk what your thoughts are… I'd rather spare myself the headache of dealing with people wanting X feature in there.
