Alternatives to InI?

I was just wondering, is there another way of reading/writing data to ini/text file other than using WriteINI and ReadINI?

I've been using them quite a lot in a sorting algorithem. But they ocassionally come up with some random error and just crashes, and it gets quite bad some time and I have to create another function just to create back of up INIs incase it crase.

I know nothing about networking, but would it be possible for it to send data securely to my website/server?

XML format is a good way of sharing data between scripts and servers or anything else.

Unfortunately I do not know if Simba can do that but it really should be able to since the settngs file is xml and you can export scripts as XML in simba.

Now I'm not sure why your inifiles crash but it could be a wrong format/input/node or something inserted. Inifiles do consider unicode versus ansi so it could also be that.

I've written to inifiles a ton of times in Simba and only twice has it ever crashed but I fixed it.. Was an error in the format of the info I inputted.

as far as securely goes, idk. but you can easily send post data. and from that post data, im sure u can use some sql function to input it into a database.

var
test: integer;

test:=(InitializeHTTPClient(false,false));
addpostvariable(test,'msg',msg);
addpostvariable(test,'number',phonenumber);
postHTTPPageEx(test,'http://test.com/test.php');
FreeHTTPClient(test);

The thing is, I sort of need the sharing method to be done by simba.

Right now, I have it so that simba write data to inis on to dropbox, and another simba (on a different computer) could read it and save a different data on to it.

EDIT:

Unfortunately, these data are a little bit more than just a string It contains 3 strings + 4 boolean (can be turned into string ofcourse) and associated with a nick name.

I'll play around with that thou :)
