Dragon Kiteshield and New X-bow

Mkay, so I was not really expecting something as trivial as a dragon kiteshield to come out of this update (honestly I wanted dragon crossbow) but the new drops from queen black dragon could be interesting. I'm hoping it's not just another fluke like the d2h, but honestly I think it will be. The new crossbow could be the replacement for the dragon crossbow on the other hand, they did call it upgradeable though…Maybe this means it will rise in functionality with levels gained? Who knows, I'm excited though.
Thoughts?

It's definately interesting :P I personally prefer a dragon kiteshield over a dragon crossbow for now. The reason being that my only p2p account is my summoning tank, which obviously can't wield a dragon crossbow. But it can wear the dragon kiteshield if it has no other requirements than 60 defence :)
Ranged deserves an update though. Since soaking has been introduced it has become a lot less effective than it used to be.

I cannot wait for both of them to be released. I am kind of hoping for a special bonus when you wear the full set (Full d helm, d platebody, d platelegs, boots, d kite). Ex. When wearing the full set you get like…+15 strength or something. Full D has really impressive defensive stats but is often overlooked because of price and lack of strength bonus.

Can't wait til QBD comes out, nex and corp prices are so bad now.

crossbow over kite anyday. a decent range update would be nice =)
I doubt it will be tradeable, you need to kill it solo.

It will probably be a lot more than that, look at dragon full helm, the QBD will probably be a lot harder to defeat than a mith dragon and it will probably be a very rare drop, so I guess 60M-80M.

You guys should really listen to SIN. The post mentions "Great rewards to those who do" [solo the boss]. This most likely means that the item will not be trade-able.

^Completely agree, and honestly I kind of hope it will be non-tradeable, that way they will maybe be able to justify giving it a bonus of some sort (maybe that set effect talked about above)

Rumour has it that is it will be a "Nomad's" style of fight, that will be as hard as Nex. (Like small team agasint nex). Also heard that it would be suitable for 120cb+. I am guessing Ovls + Turm would basically be needed to fight it. On the talk of the Kiteshield to be non-tradeable? I highly doubt it, with the 60 defense needed to weild dragon, it dosen't make much sense to have it non-tradeable, especially with such low requirements to use the shield, yet high levels needed to kill the QBD. Looking forward to the update + drops.
Finally, higher levels can do something.
I hope it is untradable, then the higher levels > lower level tanks in PVP and Staking if it's any good.
Also, there are more new dragon items, what do you think they are? D:
