The purpose is that all botters can hang out on 1 place and are free to talk about anything. Also on botters-united there are all the bots currently available so you would be able to use an alternative if few of them are outdated

It's a month old and still under construction. I would challenge any single parent with another full-time job to put up a website in this time frame and call it "done".

I don't think anyone flames anyone else about bots.. It's just when they get hacked and come here and blame Simba then people tend to flame them for whatever reason..

No one here flames you just because you use a bot -__- I can freely say I've tried the Sigma dungeon and the SDN was down so it never worked. When it was up, it still didn't work. No one is going to flame me for using Powerbot but rather they're probably going to warn me about it being closed source and the potential malware it COULD have.

I don't see the point of having another client like Powerbot or so, I mean it's not a hard thing to do, a few hours of reading up on java programming and done. If you take a look at all the injection clients they are all very similar. Rarebot looks like RSBot2000 and has the same functions.

So would it really be better to make another injection client that would be pretty much a copy of Powerbot or whatever? There aren't many functions someone could add to injection bots.

We have a scripter and I myself am learning to write SRL scripts. I'd rather write scripts for other clients than have a copy of a client that already exists.

I'm just wondering how you guys want to succeed in real life when you are so intolerant to changes. If the sector in which your job is dies for example is replaced by machines you will just never work again because you were used to your old job?

Remember this, sometimes change can be good.

No, it's not only about botting, there are many sections, some are about real life, some about Runescape in general, some about injection bots, some about color bots.

Btw, looks like Runespan did you some good, you learned a new word (siphon) :).

OOooh, now here's where I may have to disagree. I've seen a few immature users in the past who turn into keyboard warriors when other users talk about Powerbot.

Having said that, majority of the community is sensible and will not do this.

First of all, I can tell from the way you type that you are a typical teenager troll.

Second of all, the change I am talking about is instead of people having to search through different forums trying to find out which bot is legit, which bot is the best, which bot is up, you could just come straight to our site and find all the information there.

Third of all, as Gunner already wrote, the forums are a month old, he is a parent and works a full time job, yet still he finds time to upgrade the forums. In the past couple of days the theme has been change a couple of times. We are working together to see what looks the best.

And finally, you decide what your future is. Just because someone posted a link to another forum doesn't mean you have to go there. Why flame when you didn't even give it a chance? If you don't like it and actually haven't tried it just keep your fingers away from the keyboard if you can. I know it's hard to resist that +1 post count especially when your best achievement in life is your post count and you need to keep it up so you can show your mother what you've done today.

Now that's that, before you type anything more think about this, if you don't like it and haven't tried it why post? You've waste a lot of time in which you could've learnt something new or gotten another false achievement.

I'm unable to read the forums. The colors are wrong. I'm colorblind and some text requires me to tile my screen in odd angles. I suggest taking a more clean skin. I don't see how this skin can become a big forum. All big fora have clean skins with a reason.

That's what criticism should always be, constructive. You took the time to look at the forums before replying which I guarantee you that half of the other people in this thread didn't.

As I mentioned earlier, Gunner is constantly trying new themes on the forums to see which looks the best. We all however have private lives and that's what limits us :(.

I looked at the site a week ago, didn't like it, so I never signed up. In the professional world, you have the design ready and live before trying to draw in users, because if you constantly change the layout/colors/design then you'll confuse people and they'll leave.

Its just pre-made looking, in 5 hours I created a website from scratch.. using all my own graphics etc. etc. for a competition. I am not saying the idea itself is horrible, but I would recommend making a top tier website before trying to get people to use it.

Honestly if you had a little more ground in the community I would check it out a little bit more, but 0 posts and you are just advising people to go elsewhere to "unite" when SRL is unity.

Excuse me for being blunt here, I am not usually so. Here at SRL, our community is known for our positive attitude and welcoming personalities. A person on Sythe once asked "Why do people like Simba so much", the overwhelming response from that crappy community is that we are by far the friendliest and most pleasant. However, we extremely dislike it when people attempt to use SRL's good name for personal benefit. That is what we are viewing this as, user siphoning. You are attempting to grow your own community through us, and we do not appreciate being used.

You point is valid. However, Jagex is always up to date with the bots. My site will make no difference. They have and use all of the current botting software, decipher the code (closed source or not), look at what breaks it and so on.

However I do appreciate your non-biased look on the subject.

Again, my site is looked at as "stealing members". Did you consider the fact that perhaps, since Botters United has no software (hence we can't "steal" members), we may actually bring more members to THIS community? Maybe someone on PowerBot or EpicBot has never tried one of these "crappy screen-scrapers" - not my words - and would possibly give it a shot when so many people are talking about it on BU.

The main point here is you used a bunch of templates and meshed them together. How long would it have taken you to create all those images from scratch? Where do all those links go? Did you just photoshop a front page together and call it good? I have custom edited nearly every .css and .html sheet, created all the images from scratch, even edited the smilies to work on a dark background. I never said I was the greatest webpage writer, I simply said it's under construction.

I offered up advise after I was told a "decent" looking website takes more than 1 month to create. I make websites and forums for spare money >.< its what I do… I posted picture on what 5 minutes of work can do, and how you need to go at it. I then explained why a nice website is important BEFORE trying to recruit members. Then I greeted you a goodbye with a nice good luck in the future aspects. You don't have to take any of my advise but at least look at it, and think about some sort of changes.

Mostly everyone that has posted on this thread needs to do some growing up. I'm not saying you can't give a little criticism on his new website, but some of you people are literally shitting on it. Just because a few sub-sections exist on SRL to talk about everything doesn't mean another website can't co-exist to talk about botting.

Lol all I'm saying is all website starts from nothing then starts to grow, even srl didn't have lots of members when it launched and need to advertise to get this community it has now. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but botters-united is only 1 month old and it does not have a botting client. also it is only a website where all botters can hangout and have fun.

You may have put a lot of work into it, but I know for certain you didn't create ALL the images from scratch. I'm not judging you by the design, because I work in that industry and am biased. Like I said awhile ago, which was ignored, "In the professional world, you have the design ready and live before trying to draw in users, because if you constantly change the layout/colors/design then you'll confuse people and they'll leave."

The new forum icons are not live yet, because I don't want half and half, those images are still stock. So ALL the images will be custom.

And this isn't really the professional world, it's a website about Runescape cheating.

What happened to 'we don't flame other forums because at SRL we are full of mature members'. Sure he may have a bad attitude and is saying things he shouldn't, but the truth is he is defending himself from entire community who are giving him nothing but hate.

Why? Because he has a forum which he intended to bring bots together. If you don't want to join, just say no. There is no need to give him a lecture on what you think is wrong and direct your negative thoughts towards him.

Mostly everyone that has posted on this thread needs to do some growing up. I'm not saying you can't give a little criticism on his new website, but some of you people are literally shitting on it. Just because a few sub-sections exist on SRL to talk about everything doesn't mean another website can't co-exist to talk about botting.

What does the content of the website have to do with it? Why do you think people love our community? Because we're more mature than anything else out there. If you're going to look at it as "oh, it's just a RS cheating site", then prepare to end up with a community like Sythe, or PB, etc.

If you want your community to grow, then you need to run it professionally. But hey, the kind of community that comes out depends on the people who run it.

Yes, people did flame, and it shouldn't have gone that way.

He could of ignored it all, flames die out when there is no more fuel. Responding to a flame only fuels it ;) If I was in his shoes, it would of been handled a lot better. Just because someone flames you, doesn't mean you have to flame back. What kind of mentality is that?

When you have a community as big as Powerbot's, nearly 500k members, there are bound to be bad apples. The same as here, 94k members and I've already met a few. The community as you see it on Powerbot, is full of the 12yr olds we speak of, the mature members don't even hardly post because they can't get a word in edge-wise. I would really appreciate the fact that I gave those mature members somewhere constructive to talk about Powerbot.

You want to convince us to use something, so we have all the right to be skeptical. It's up to you to convince us, it has absolutely no use to get defensive and switch to personal attacks. Nothing personal, but who cares if you are a single parent with a full-time job? If you do not have the time or skills to start something like this, why not try and get some help. 1. I didn't actually post the thread, just came to defend my site being flamed, which it was.

2. Me being a single parent with a job was simply defending someone telling me how shoddy my forum was, and how they could do it so much better.

3. We did treat you that way in the beginning, we didn't come here saying "SRL community sucks, join ours". All I ever did was defend myself and my site from people like football.

I don't see this thread going ANYWHERE nicely at all.

Any mod who thinks otherwise may re-open the thread again at wish.
